History: (Amazing Spider-Man IV#25 (fb) - BTS ) - El Facoquero was already renown in the underworld of the black market weapons when he made a pact with Norman Osborn. In Delvadia, he was considered the greatest drug-lord, and he was a ruthless and cruel criminal. His activities were already acknowledged by the Delvadian government and by their best operatives like Devil-Spider and Tarantula.

Osborn needed to operate about and to further his own weapon dealing agenda without being recognized, still acting in first person. So, El Facoquero agreed in "lending" his name and identity to Osborn, who, for months, acted as the Facoquero, while the real one remained hidden in Delvadia, in some sort of paid holidays without risks.

Despite the real Facoquero keeping an extremely low profile, the activities of El Facoquero-Osborn raised the interest of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Spider-Man, and Silver Sable. Their research led them to the hideout in Delvadia. As per Spider-Man, it was Wilson Fisk that gave him the information about the home location of his "greatest enemy."

(Amazing Spider-Man IV#25) - El Facoquero's home, even if well-guarded, could not withstand the joined forces that moved against him. The security devices, the henchmen, and the Goblin Army weren't enough to stop Spider-Man, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the other Delvadian operatives from invading and conquering his base. So, when Silver Sable tried to kill whom she thought was Norman Osborn, she had some explosives destroy the street that was the roof of the hideout, and El Facoquero guessed he should flee. Spider-Man and Mockingbird pursued and captured him, saved him from the collapse of the ceilings, escaped through the swimming pool, and brought El Facoquero to the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.

There, the fingerprints and the retinal scans revealed that El Facoquero was not Norman Osborn.

Meanwhile, an unrevealed operative in Delvadia reported to Norman Osborn about El Facoquero's capture.

Shortly before and after the original one's arrest, El Facoquero-Osborn was seen in some major cities and also Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong, Osborn used the Uncle Ben Foundation event as a cover for his black market weapons expo, but he had another face, thanks to Doctor Dragovic.

Comments: Created by Dan Slott, Stuart Immonen and Wade von Grawbadger.

Doctor Dragovic's surgery gave to Osborn a face identical to El Facoquero's. One of the many explanations about El Facoquero's deformed face is that Dragovic also changed El Facoquero's original face, for whatever reason. This operation had to have happened in a past far enough to allow El Facoquero to spread his "skills" and new identity all over the criminal world.

The Spanish word is written with an acute accent on the first "o": "facóquero".
El Facóquero's career surely included a role as a "war-thug". Whether that role came before the "Warthog"nickname or not, is unrevealed.
