Powers/Abilities: Amphibian is uniquely suited to survive on land and under water. Superhumanly strong (lifting 10 tons), he can see in the murky ocean depths and withstand the crushing pressures and freezing temperatures of the deep. Able to swim at superhuman speed and highly agile on land, he speaks dolphin language fluently. Human-looking in air or in shallow waters, Amphibian morphs into a blue-skinned, dark-eyed form (suggesting possibly half-Atlantean parentage) in the deepest ocean depths, enhancing his undersea vision and his pressure/cold tolerance. This transformation is an autonomic reflex and it reverses when he ascends back toward the surface. His lungs can comfortably filter oxygen from air or water, though he becomes "landsick" without periodic immersion in water. During extended stays on land, he sleeps in a water tank at night. He is a capable pilot of the Squadron's air vehicles.

Height: 6'0"
Weight: 180 lbs.
Eyes: Blue (solid black in deep-sea form)
Hair: Red

History:
(Squadron Supreme: New World Order I#1 (fb) - BTS) - Born of a human mother and an Atlantean father, Kingsley Rice was able to survive on land and under the sea, though he never felt at home in either environment.

(The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#10 - BTS) - Kingsley Rice studied to be an oceanographer.

(Squadron Supreme I#1 (fb) ) - After making a name for himself as the superhuman adventurer Amphibion, Rice helped form the Squadron Supreme with six other heroes: Hyperion, Nighthawk, Power Princess, Doctor Spectrum, the Skrullian Skymaster and the Whizzer.

(Squadron Supreme I#4 (fb) - BTS) - It was established that Rice was the third strongest being on the planet, after Power Princess and Hyperion.

(Squadron Supreme I#9 (fb) ) - Early in the Squadron's career, the team found themselves the unwitting pawns of the Elder of the Universe known as the Grandmaster. He used Rice and the others in a game of chance against the Scarlet Centurion, who was manipulating the criminals of the Institute of Evil to do his bidding.

(Squadron Supreme I#2 (fb) - BTS) - Rice discovered that he was severely weakened when he was away from bodies of water for extended periods of time. Dubbing the condition "land-sickness," he had a tank installed in the Squadron's headquarters, in which he slept a set number of hours to keep his strength up (see comments).

(Web of Spider-Man Annual I#5/6 (fb) - BTS ) - Workmen on an oil rig uncovered Earth-712's counterpart of the Serpent Crown. Oil company executive Gregory Hungerford Gideon fell under the sway of Set and formed the Serpent Cartel by taking over the minds of other prominent business leaders and President Nelson Rockefeller. The Cartel also managed to take control of all the members of the Squadron Supreme, except for Power Princess and Nighthawk (Kyle Richmond).

(Avengers I#148 (fb) - BTS) - The Avengers were brought to Earth-712 as part of Rockefeller's scheme; however, they'd managed to escape the Squadron, capturing that reality's Serpent Crown in the process.

(Avengers I#148) - Amphibion was with the Squadron aboard their orbital satellite headquarters Rocket Central when news came in about the Avengers' escape. His teammate Cap'n Hawk used the base's scanners to locate the other-dimensional refugees, who had split up to avoid capture. Amphibian, Cap'n Hawk and Tom Thumb went down to capture Beast and the team's new recruit Hellcat.

(Avengers I#148 - BTS) - To replenish his strength, Amphibion approached his opponents through the sewers.

(Avengers I#148) - Popping open a manhole cover, Amphibian emerged to face Hellcat. He attempted to charm her by suggesting she simply surrender to him because it wasn't the habit on their Earth to harm the weaker sex. He then lunged at the neophyte heroine, but the Hellcat battlesuit made it easy for Patsy to dodge his attack. Amphibion knocked himself out when he crashed into the storefront of a fish-market. His fellow Squadroners proved equally ineffective against the other Avengers (see comments).

(Avengers I#148 - BTS) - The Avengers learned of a dimensional portal in Capitol City's White House and managed to sneak inside, with Beast capturing President Rockefeller and taking his place while the others started work on the portal.

(Avengers I#148) - Amphibion joined the Squadron at the White House for a meeting with "President Rockefeller," who stunned the team by telling them the Avengers weren't the problem, their entire corrupt system of government was. According to the "President," all he wanted was power and all he did was manipulate people into giving it to him. Beast then unmasked and revealed his identity before quickly rushing to his teammates, who were ready to return to Earth-616. Rather than immediately chase their enemies, the Squadron decided to heed Beast's words and take care of their own world first.

(Thor I#280 - BTS) - Director L.L. Burbank was working on a movie about the Squadron Supreme, which led his evil brother Emil (alias Master Menace) to hatch his latest scheme against the heroes. Emil hid on the set with an experimental blaster that could potentially kill Hyperion. When Emil spotted his archenemy on set, he immediately fired, only to realize this was actually Hyperion's bio-duplicate, created by Reality-616's Grandmaster. He proposed a partnership and led the duplicate Hyperion to his lab, where he instructed the super-strong villain how to assemble a giant attack robot he had lying around.

(Thor I#280) - Piloting the robot with the false Hyperion by his side, Emil returned to the movie set. The villains launched an attack on Earth-712's Hyperion, the Squadron Supreme (including Amphibian), and the visiting Thor, but the two proved no match for them.

(Defenders I#112 (fb) - BTS) - At an unspecified point in time, Rice changed the spelling of his code-name from 'Amphibion' to 'Amphibian'.

(Defenders I#114 (fb) - BTS) - Reality-616's Over-Mind and the demonic Null the Living Darkness inadvertently traveled to Earth-712. The latter used the former to take over the mind of President Kyle Richmond.

(Defenders I#112 (fb)) - With Null guiding his actions, the Over-Mind used Richmond to contact and then take control of other world leaders. Months later, the Over-Mind traveled with Richmond to the Squadron's Rocket Central base, where he fought and defeated Amphibian and the rest of the Squadron. The mental manipulators took control of all the heroes, except for Hyperion, who managed to flee to Earth-616.

(Defenders I#112 (fb)) - Null and the Over-Mind had the Squadron construct a Moonbase, from which they planned to launch a fleet to conquer the cosmos.

(Defenders I#112-113 - BTS) -  Hyperion enlisted the aid of the Defenders and their allies Vision and the Scarlet Witch to help free his world.

(Defenders I#112-114) - The heroes made their way to the Over-Mind's Moonbase. Amphibian found himself facing Namor the Sub-Mariner. Unaware of how similar their powers were, Amphibian dropped his opponent into a nearby water tank. Instead of gaining the strength he needed to best his enemy, Amphibian found himself hopelessly overpowered by the refreshed Namor, who called him "a soulless, pale copy of the true Sub-Mariner". The fight only ended when Null's involvement was revealed. Together with the Defenders, Amphibian assisted the Squadron in vanquishing the malevolent entity with some help from the group of telepaths later known as Chorus. Amphibian silently participated and allowed the Chorus to focus his mind and soul with the others to form a single force strong enough to vanquish Null.

(Squadron Supreme I#1 - BTS) - Freed from outside control, Amphibian and the Squadron left Moonbase for Earth to find that the world was in shambles, in no small part because of what they did as Null's pawns. Their first order of business was to salvage their old base Rocket Central, which was bound to burn up in the atmosphere after losing orbit; Hyperion went out to stop and control its descent so it would crash into the ocean.

(Squadron Supreme I#1) - Once Rocket Central hit the water, Amphibian showed up to assure Hyperion he'd hit the right spot. Then, along with Doctor Spectrum and Whizzer, he helped Hyperion tow the damaged satellite to shore. While the other members of the team went out on a reconnaissance mission across the country, the four of them headed for the Squadron's emergency headquarters in Northern Moreland.

(Squadron Supreme I#1 - BTS) - Amphibian waited for his teammates to return from their exploratory excursion.

(Squadron Supreme I#1) -  After hearing all the disheartening reports on the state of the planet, Hyperion couldn't help but feel it was all their fault. Nuke reasoned they shouldn't be blamed for things the Over-Mind made them do, but the others felt they needed to help fix the world. Inspired by Power Princess, they came up with the idea for the Utopia Program: the Squadron would take control of the country for a year to solve all of mankind's problems, including death. Everyone enthusiastically voted for the Utopia Program, except for Amphibian and Nighthawk, who even quit the team out of protest; but Amphibian decided to bow to the mandate of the majority and remained, though he still had reservations.

(Squadron Supreme I#1 - BTS) - Planning to launch the Utopia initiative with a public unmasking during a televised press conference, the individual Squadron members were given some downtime to check on their families and prepare them for the changes ahead.

(Squadron Supreme I#1) - Amphibian dove into the ocean, thirty miles off the coast of Kirkgard. Relishing the serenity of the deep, he realized why he had voted against the Utopia Program: his life down there felt way more important to him. He was soon greeted by his dolphin friends Hlee, Prurr and Rhaai. Conversing with them in "dolphinese", he caught up with the latest news, including the fact mama Flrrr had her child. Rice accepted Hleee's offer to sing the song he had composed to mark that joyous event. Some time later, Amphibian joined his teammates in Capitol City, where they unmasked themselves to the public right after announcing the Utopia Program.

(Squadron Supreme I#2 (fb) - BTS) - During the first month of the Utopia Program, Amphibian and the other Squadders spent their time taking on missions to deal with the most urgent of problems.

(Squadron Supreme I#3 (fb) - BTS) - The Squadron's mountain base wasn't big enough to give every member personal quarters. Co-ed dormitories were set up, with Amphibian residing in his tank right next to Arcanna, with a small room divider offering a little privacy.

(Squadron Supreme I#3 (fb) - BTS) - As part of the Utopia Program, the Squadron set out to disarm the nation, shutting down gun factories and gathering up firearms and ammunition from private citizens--this led to growing unrest in the country.

(Squadron Supreme I#2) - Amphibian attended a Squadron meeting that got interrupted by a hologram of their old enemy the Scarlet Centurion, who had come to gloat and boast before Hyperion chased him off. Afterwards, Rice stayed to play poker with some of his teammates, but urged them to start the game already because he had to be in his tank by 23:00 hours.

(Squadron Supreme I#3) - Later that night, Amphibian was woken from his tank to help deal with an emergency at the Westinger gun factory in Alamo Town that had just been shut down by Hyperion. Locals were now raiding the place to get their hands on the remaining firearms. Upon arrival, Amphibian took over the controls of the air-shuttle. By the time he had landed, Whizzer and Arcanna had made short work of the looters.

(Squadron Supreme I#4 (fb) - BTS) - As part of the Utopia Program, the Squadron began to disarm the military: going from base to base to gather up weapons and ordnance. General Chapman was opposed to this policy and staged an insurrection against the Utopia Program at Fort Largo.

(Squadron Supreme I#4) - The Squadron Supreme moved in on Fort Largo. Wearing Tom Thumb's latest creation, a personal force field belt, Amphibian was able to withstand the hail of bullets fired at him. He helped Power Princess take out the tanks that Chapman had commandeered, easily bending their gun turrets before toppling the vehicles. Later during the daily Squadron meeting, Tom Thumb presented the team with the next step to end all crime: a behavior modification machine designed to reprogram the minds of convicted criminals. This caused some concern with Amphibian, who felt they had no right to tamper with someone's free will--after all, man's laws are arbitrary and subject to change. They might well be forcing this on jaywalkers next. In the end, only he and Arcanna abstained when the implementation of the b-mod machine was put to a vote.

(Squadron Supreme I#4 - BTS) - When Lady Lark rejected Golden Archer's marriage proposal, he quickly turned to anger when he realized she had feelings for "that winged weirdo Blue Eagle". Later that night, with Amphibian sleeping nearby in his tank, Archer drugged Lark. He took her unconscious body to Thumb's lab, where he secretly used the b-mod device on her to make sure she loved him and only him.

(Squadron Supreme I#5 (fb) - BTS) - Suspecting foul play, Tom Thumb changed the b-mod protocols to make sure Squadron members were impervious to its effects.

(Squadron Supreme I#5 (fb) - BTS) - Golden Archer was kidnapped by the Institute of Evil. After being subjected to Doctor Decibel's truth-inducing sonic devices, he willingly revealed sensitive information, such as his teammates' real names, the location of their headquarters, and addresses of their loved ones. The Institute then went out to capture the heroes' families.

(Squadron Supreme I#5) - Amphibian was present during the daily Squadron briefing, where Golden Archer's continued absence was brought up. Hyperion's chief concern was that the Archer's disappearance added to their growing manpower shortage, and they needed every man on deck now that they were rolling out the b-mod devices to prisons across the country. Hyperion briefly considered cancelling all leaves, a suggestion that was met with heavy resistance and quickly tabled. Amphibian was especially vocal about it, reminding everyone of his "landsickness". After the meeting, he and Power Princess were sent to oversee the dismantling of the Westinger gun factory in Olmstead.

(Squadron Supreme I#5 - BTS) - With the heroes away for the day, the Institute of Evil used the information they'd gained from Archer to invade Squadron headquarters, easily overpowering Tom Thumb, who was working in his lab. The villains waited in ambush for the heroes, keeping Tom Thumb and the family members in a pen.

(Squadron Supreme I#5) - Tom Thumb's sentient computer system AIDA alerted Amphibian and the others to the situation. The team attacked their enemies, but were forced to surrender once they saw the Institute had their loved ones. Unaware of Thumb's recent changes to the device, Institute leader Ape X decided it would be fitting irony to b-mod the Squadron and turn them evil. After the treatment, the Squadron played along until they saw an opening to take on the Institute, with Amphibian taking out Lamprey.

(Captain America I#314 - BTS) - Visiting Earth-616 in hopes of recruiting its heroes to his cause, Nighthawk told Captain America what the Squadron had been up to. In the end, Professor Imam assured him that all the forces Nighthawk needed to oppose the Squadron were in his home dimension. Imam gave the hero a crystal that could help him locate powerful individuals.

(Squadron Supreme I#6 (fb) - BTS) - Amphibian was not amused when the Squadron voted to build their new headquarters in the middle of the American desert, two hours from the closest body of water. Though he was outvoted on the matter, the others did promise him the designs of Squadron City would include an artificial lake just for him.

(Squadron Supreme I#6 (fb) - BTS) - The Squadron voted to subject the members of the Institute of Evil to b-modification and put them to work to help build Squadron City. Amphibian remained vehemently opposed to the procedure. Over time, Blue Eagle began to notice how odd and obsessive Lady Lark's behavior had become, leading him to suspect she had been subjected to b-modding as well.

(Squadron Supreme I#6 (fb) - BTS) - A month after the initial incident with the Institute, the Squadron was still delivering b-mod devices to prisons. Whizzer and Blue Eagle went to Huxley State prison, where they got into an argument with Warden Daniel Yates, who flat out refused the heroes to "use that infernal brainwashing machine" on his prisoners.

(Squadron Supreme I#6) - Amphibian visited with the Shape, who was at the site of the newly constructed lake. While the faucets continued to pour in water, Amphibian tried to quiz the mentally challenged super-being about the b-mod process, trying to figure out if he felt any different or was missing emotions or memories. Their talk was cut short by the arrival of Hyperion, who amicably wondered if Amphibian had thought of a name for the new body of water. Amphibian, still ticked off about the situation, snappily replied: "Fake Lake".

(Squadron Supreme I#6 - BTS) - After returning to Squadron City, things grew tense between Lady Lark and the Eagle when he brought up her obsessive, lovesick behavior towards Golden Archer. Lark grew furious and used her sonic powers to forcefully shove him aside.

(Squadron Supreme I#6) - Later that day, Blue Eagle and the Whizzer recounted the incident with Warden Yates during the regular Squadron meeting. This led to an uncomfortable discussion about potentially using the b-mod device against people who simply didn't agree with the Utopia Program. Amphibian took the opportunity to reiterate why he was so vehemently opposed to b-modding in the first place, but his pleas fell on deaf ears. They also voted to offer the brainwashed Institute of Evil full membership of the Squadron, but not before Amphibian pointed out that the Instituters were being exploited: they had no free will left to refuse the offer even if they wanted to.

(Squadron Supreme I#6) - Right before the meeting could conclude, Blue Eagle decided to bring up his suspicions that Lady Lark had been b-modded by Golden Archer. The team was shocked, especially when the Archer didn't even try to deny his guilt. The team was then forced to vote on what to do with their friend. Seething with quiet rage, Amphibian accused his teammates of hypocrisy: how could they sit in judgement over the Archer when they supported the construction and use of the machine in the first place?
A tense vote followed: Amphibian, Whizzer and Dr. Spectrum felt Golden Archer should not be disciplined, but it was Hyperion who cast the deciding vote to expel the Archer.

(Squadron Supreme I#6 - BTS) - Amphibian quietly reached a breaking point after the meeting.

(Squadron Supreme I#6) - That evening, Amphibian walked into the lab where the b-mod devices were stored and smashed every single one of them. When he ran into Ape X, now assigned to work with Tom Thumb in the lab, he ordered her to delete all the data and schematics on the b-mod procedure from the Squadron's systems. He then commandeered one of their airships and piloted it towards the ocean. As he dove back into the deep, he vowed never to return to the surface world again.

(Squadron Supreme: New World Order I#1 - BTS) - In the Squadron's absence, a cabal of political opportunists known as the Global Directorate took over America, but Amphibian was unaware of their rise and did nothing to oppose them.

(Exiles I#78 - BTS) - Through widespread voter fraud, the Global Directorate manipulated the election results, making it appear they rose to power legitimately.

(Squadron Supreme: New World Order I#1 - BTS) - When the Squadron Supreme returned home after an extended stay on Earth-616, they were shocked to find their world in ruins and their country ruled by the Global Directorate and their army force, the Blue Eagles (soldiers subjected to the Squadron's old b-mod tech to serve blindly). Mysterium, Earth-712's supreme sorcerer, told the Squadron the tide might be turned if they were able to gain the aid of "the watcher," "the dark phoenix" and the "in-betweener." Acting on a hunch, Power Princess donned Utopian diving gear and went looking for Amphibian, getting some help from a talkative dolphin as she made her way through the murky depths.

(Squadron Supreme: New World Order I#1) - Thanks to the dolphin's directions, Power Princess made it to Amphibian's new home in the deep. Now reverted to his blue fish-like form, he wasn't too excited to see his old friend, but Zarda convinced him to return to the surface with her because as much as he'd like to believe the ocean was its own world, they all shared the same planet. Kingsley accepted, regaining his old, human-like form as they left the depths.

Reunited with the other founding members on Utopia Island (the "Watcher" turned out to be the Skrullian Skymaster and Nighthawk's son Neal was the "Dark Phoenix"), Amphibian joined them in their assault on the Blue Eagles base, located at the site of the former Squadron City. He helped fight off the Blue Eagles until Hyperion confronted their alleged creator Master Menace (only to find Emil Burbank had been forced via the B-Mod to do the Directorate's bidding as well). Hyperion freed Burbank and the team returned to Utopia Isle, where they began work on overthrowing the Global Directorate.

(Exiles I#64 (fb) - BTS) - Amphibian was on Utopia Isle when Exiles member Barnell Bohusk appeared out of thin air to request Hyperion (Mark Milton)'s help in defeating "King Hyperion," an insane counterpart from Earth-4023 who threatened all of reality.

(Exiles I#77 - BTS ) - Just as the Squadron Supreme found themselves under attack from the Global Directorate and the Blue Eagles, the dimension hopping Proteus (Reality-58163's Kevin MacTaggert inhabiting the body of Hulk [John Eisenhart] of Earth-6375's 2099 AD) appeared on Utopia Island. Feigning ignorance but actually on the run from the Exiles, Proteus claimed he'd come looking for Hyperion and proved his trustworthiness by assisting the Squadron in beating back the Blue Eagles.

(Exiles I#77) - Proteus told the Squadron an elaborate lie about being hunted by the Exiles, claiming they had turned evil shortly after Hyperion had assisted them. Properly baited, the Squadron immediately attacked the Exiles the moment they blinked in. Content with having distracted his enemies, Proteus teleported away while the fight continued. Amphibian tried to grab Blink, who effortlessly teleported him miles away, dumping the aquatic hero in the ocean.

(Exiles I#77 - BTS) - While Amphibian was making his way back to the island, Skrullian Skymaster disguised himself as Morph to take out Blink. With their leader out of commission, the heroes were overpowered by the Squadroners and taken into custody.

(Exiles I#78) - The Exiles were put on trial by the Squadron in the High Judicial Temple on Utopia Isle. Still believing Proteus' claims that the Exiles were evil, Nighthawk charged the inter-dimensional heroes with crimes against nature, history and the human race itself. If they were found guilty, their punishment would be life imprisonment. Doctor Spectrum was ready to use his prism as a makeshift lie detector. The outraged Exiles called the trial a mockery, but were forced to participate and they began their testimonies.

(Exiles I#78 - BTS) - In the Exiles' headquarters, the Panoptichron, a worried Heather Hudson watched the trial unfold. Unable to extract her teammates due to Dr. Spectrum's force field, she was forced to improvise. Checking the Panoptichron's files on Earth-712, Hudson learned about the Squadron's past actions and realized they were in no position to pass judgement on anyone.

(Exiles I#78) - Using the Panoptichron's hologram array (thereby appearing as the Timebroker), Hudson interrupted the trial. With the advanced technology of the Panoptichron, she showed both teams the truth about their mission and their various successes and setbacks. Hyperion admitted to feeling ashamed after experiencing the Exiles' impressive track record: they had helped "fix" dozens of alternate realities, while he and the Squadron hadn't even been able to save their own world. Heather Hudson then supplied them with evidence of the Global Directorate's voter fraud, taken directly from their own files. After leaking this evidence to the world's media, the Squadron and the Exiles invaded the Global Directorate's headquarters to depose the dictators. In the aftermath, Amphibian watched as Power Princess temporarily joined the Exiles in their hunt for Proteus. As the inter-dimensional heroes left, Hyperion told Rice and the others they'd better make sure Power Princess had a world worth coming home to.

(Ultimate Power I#1 - BTS) - Reed Richards of Earth-1610 ("Ultimate Earth") sent out a series of dimensional probes designed to look for a cure for his friend Ben Grimm's transformation. Unbeknownst to Reed, these probes were altered by Doctor Doom (Victor Van Damme) on orders from Nick Fury. Instead of collecting data, the probes caused unbelievable devastation in multiple realities, including Earth-31916. As a result, Earth-1610's heroes found themselves under attack from Earth-31916's super-powered operatives, the Supreme Power, who had traced the destructive probe back to its source.

(Ultimate Power I#7) - After a long, convoluted fight, the Ultimates' Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) used her unpredictable reality-warping powers to inadvertently summon Amphibian and the other members of Earth-712's Squadron Supreme to the fight going on between her team and Supreme Power. The newly arrived Hyperion furiously announced they'd make everyone pay for the damage done to their world.

(Ultimate Power I#8 - BTS) - While the three teams of heroes tore into each other, Nick Fury of Earth-1610 decided to unleash his reality's Hulk, who was ready to destroy everything in his path.

(Ultimate Power I#9) - Amphibian and his alternate reality counterpart took to the waters to fight Hulk, but were knocked out by the monster wading through the river. Amphibian remained out of commission while the Scarlet Witch, Earth-712's Moonglow and Earth-31916's Arcanna put the finishing touches on a spell that made sure "all things went back." Amphibian and the other Squadron members returned to Earth-712.

Meet Amphibian, a character who has been around since 1976 and has yet to win his first fight against another super-powered being. He's fought and lost to Patsy Walker when she'd only been Hellcat for about 5 minutes, his 616-counterpart Namor, Blink of the Exiles, the Earth-1610 Hulk... In most cases, he barely even landed a punch on any of them.

Seeing as most of Earth-712's inhabitants are (loosely) based on DC characters, it's obvious Amphibian is supposed to be Aquaman. His real name "Kingsley Rice" is a take on Aquaman's: (king) Arthur Curry. As homages go, that's as silly as it gets... Then again, he could also have been called "Bas Mati Rice" so let's be thankful for small favors.

It's never explicitly explained why Amphibian was absent for the Squadron's debut in Avengers I#85. He was retroactively revealed as a founding member, so he was already on the roster. It's possible his hybrid nature caused him to take several leaves of absence, possibly because he was getting landsick before discovering he could stay on land if he slept in his specialized water tank.

Squadron Supreme: New World Order
retroactively established that Amphibian might be of Atlantean origin, given the fact he turns blue in the deep. To date, it's not been established that homo mermanis exist on Earth-712, there definitely don't seem to be any thriving undersea societies like on Earth-616; but it's definitely possible, after all the Skrulls also exist in that reality. Still, as cool a visual as it is, it's a little hard to explain how none of his teammates ever noticed that he turns into a blue fish-thing once he hits a certain depth... You mean in all those years together it never even came up once?

Amphibian, as part of the Squadron Supreme, received an entry in
The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#10 and The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition I#12. He has a solo profile in Secret Wars: Official Guide to the Marvel Multiverse I#1
