Powers/Abilities: As an Eternal, Aginar possesses many of the abilities inherant to his species. He can lift 25 tons, fly at the speed of sound and is virtually indestructible. He can manipulate cosmic energy to project energy beams from his eyes or hands in the form of heat, light or concussive force. He can cast illusions to disguise his appearance and can telepathically read the minds of anyone with lesser psychic ability. He can also rearrange the molecular structure of objects. He's also an excellent-hand-to-hand combatant, adept wrestler and boxer and has mastered most forms of Eternal weaponry. He has advanced knowledge of military history, tactics and strategies.

History:

(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Master Edition I#26/Aginar) - Aginar was born in the Eternals' city of Polaria in Siberia.

(Marvel Atlas I#1/Russia) - In Polaria, Aginar was based in the Hall of Justice

(Eternals I#11 (fb) - BTS) - At some stage, the Polar Eternals' leader Valkin assumed the guise of General Vulcanin in the Russian Army. Aginar served on Vulcannin's staff, posing as a Russian officer. His fellow Polar Eternals Druig and Zarin likewise went undercover.

(Eternals I#11) - In his Russian military guise, Aginar accompanied Valkin in his disguise as General Vulcanin on a mission to the Kremlin. Aginar waited outside the conference as Valkin unsuccessfully tried to convince the Russian military to avoid a hostile action against Nezarr the Calculator, a Celestial who was then examining Siberia. When Valkin exited the conference, Aginar could tell from his expression that the meeting had not gone well. Once Aginar, Druig and Valkin were aboard a Russian military helicopter piloted by Zarin, they resumed their true appearances as Eternals. When Druig mentioned he was "not displeased" at serving in the KGB, Aginar called him a "sly torturer" and suggested he loved "the foul work."

    Zarin teleported the entire helicopter to Olympia in Greece, where they accidentally collided into the Delphan Brothers, who goaded the Polar Eternals into a fight. When the helicopter had landed, Aginar happily exited the craft and began punching the Delphan Brothers alongside Zarin. Ikaris soon joined them in the fight but Valkin finally casued a burst of cosmic lightning to separate the fighters and force them to stop quarreling, reminding them they needed to form the Uni-Mind in order to plan their response to the Celestials.

(Thor I#291) - When the Olympian Gods invaded Olympia to attack the Eternals, Aginar tried to assist Zuras against the god Zeus but Zeus knocked him down.

(Avengers I#246-247 - BTS) - Aginar was among the gathering of Eternals at Olympia at which they sought to determine their next steps following the death of Zuras. Aginar joined the other Eternals in forming the Uni-Mind.

(Avengers I#248) - While they were in the Uni-Mind, the Eternals were assaulted by Maelstrom, who wanted to steal the Uni-Mind's powers but the Avengers' Scarlet Witch used her hex power to release the Uni-Mind, restoring the Eternals to their normal bodies. When Maelstrom was defeated, the majority of the Eternals -- including Aginar -- decided to form another Uni-Mind and journey into outer space to explore the universe.

(Eternals V#1/Recap) - Having returned to Earth, Aginar again resided in Polaria.

(Eternals V#3) - Thanos invaded Polaria and slew nearly all of the Polar Eternals, including Aginar.

(A.X.E.: Eve of Judgment I#1/Recap) - Aginar was noted to have been revived by the Machine.
