Powers/Abilities: As an Eternal, Zarin possesses many of the abilities inherant to his species. He can lift 25 tons, fly at the speed of sound and is virtually indestructible. He can manipulate cosmic energy to project energy beams from his eyes or hands in the form of heat, light or concussive force. He can cast illusions to disguise his appearance and can telepathically read the minds of anyone with lesser psychic ability. He can also rearrange the molecular structure of objects and teleport himself and others across vast distances. Zarin has some skill as a pilot.

History:

(Eternals I#11 (fb) - BTS) - Zarin is one of the Polar Eternals, a branch of Eternals who typically lived in the city of Polaria in Siberia. At some stage, the Polar Eternals' leader Valkin assumed the guise of General Vulcanin in the Russian Army. Zarin served on Vulcannin's staff, posing as a Russian military pilot. Zarin's fellow Polar Eternals Aginar and Druig accompanied them on this undercover assignment.

(Eternals I#11) - After Valkin went to the Kremlin for an unsuccessful conference with the Russian military, Zarin piloted him, Aginar and Druig away from Moscow aboard a Russian helicopter. Once they were away from the Kremlin, the Eternals dropped their human guises and resumed their true appearances. Valkin ordered Zarin to teleport the helicopter to Olympia, where they were going to meet with other Eternals to form a Uni-Mind; Zarin teleported the entire craft to Olympia, but accidentally rammed one of the Delphan Brothers, who was flying above Olympia. Angered, the Delphan Brothers followed the helicopter to the ground as Zarin landed and they called out the Polar Eternals to fight. Aginar happily agreed to fight and Zarin joined him, soon joined by their fellow Polar Eternal Ikaris. The fight was finally broken up by Valkin, who summoned cosmic lightning to force them to separate.

(Avengers I#246-247 - BTS) - Zarin was among the gathering of Eternals at Olympia at which they sought to determine their next steps following the death of Zuras. Zarin joined the other Eternals in forming a Uni-Mind.

(Avengers I#248) - While they were in the Uni-Mind, the Eternals were assaulted by Maelstrom, who wanted to steal the Uni-Mind's powers but the Avengers' Scarlet Witch used her hex power to release the Uni-Mind, restoring the Eternals to their normal bodies. When Maelstrom was defeated, the majority of the Eternals -- including Zarin -- decided to form another Uni-Mind and journey into outer space to explore the universe.

(Eternals V#1/Recap) - Having returned to Earth, Zarin again resided in Polaria.

(Eternals V#3) - Thanos invaded Polaria and slew nearly all of the Polar Eternals, including Zarin.

(A.X.E.: Eve of Judgment I#1/Recap) - Zarin was noted to have been revived by the Machine.
