First Appearance: Hellstorm#1 (April, 1993)

Powers/Abilities: Al is a successful business man and a people person--freak people, that is. Despite being native to San Francisco, he maintains--and is proud of--his "male pig" attitude.

His bar is a private club, with a very unique clientele. Hellzapoppin had a disco thing going on, while the Wasp Factory is a dark, gothic establishment. Hellstorm felt right at home in the Wasp Factory, while at Hellzapoppin, he feared that an appearance by the BeeGees might be imminent.

History:
(Hellstorm#16-FB/BTS)-Seeking a way to kill his father, Hellstorm bought a second house in San Francisco, a major center of American occultism, and made the acquaintance of Al Shaitan.

(Hellstorm#1) - Al Shaitan just came to his club Hellzapoppin in a limousine and was asked by Seripha Thames if he had seen Hellstorm. Shaitan told her that he hadn't seen him for awhile.

(Hellstorm#2) - Dr. Strange met with Hellstorm at Hellzapoppin to discuss his recent changes.

(Hellstorm#13) - Shaitan, having dramatically changed his bar and renamed it the Wasp Factory, revealed to Daimon the reason for the change: the Disco/70s Revival lasted five minutes. This look is a lot more...ageless.

Hellstorm met with Anton Devine and Jaine Cutter there to discuss the killings of "the Armorer."

Shaitan is the Arabic name for the personification of all of the evil in the world, and is the origin of the word Satan, I believe.

The bouncer for Shaitan's bar, he was born with mild psychic powers, which allowed decide who to date, what horse to bet on, and whom to trust.

On the job, he never smiles, never moves--except to open the large oak door, allowing access to the Club's members.

Bruno was impressed by the power he sensed in Dr. Strange and let him through, even without checking his invitation. Shortly thereafter, as the doorman at the Wasp Factory, he stopped wearing clothes and began to gurgle like a mindless creature.
