History:
(Fantastic Four I#91) - Taxtor of the Tektons was enslaved by the Skrulls of Kral IV, who used him in gladiator combat. After enslaving the Thing, Napoleon G. Robberson brought him to a training center and forced the Thing to battle Taxtor so that he could observe what the Thing was capable of. Robberson claimed that Taxtor was "all muscle" and "little brain," believing that "nothing can hurt him! Nothing can stop him!" (all of which is merely a Skrullian opinion).

The Thing tried to match Taxtor blow for blow but was weakened from the slave collar the Skrulls had placed upon him. Finally, Taxtor used his tail to ensnare the Thing and flip him over. Unimpressed, Robberson sent the Thing and Taxtor back to their cells.

(Galacta: Daughter of Galactus I#1 - BTS) - On her Twitter feed, Galacta opined that the Tektons were "not especially flavorful per se but the microcivilizations of sentient parasites that colonize their fur are remarkably tasty."

(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#30 - BTS) - In an attempt to end hostilities between some 76 different extraterrestrial races, the heroine Squirrel Girl devised a complex scheme where each race would forgive another race for an old wrong they had performed. As part of the scheme, she wanted the Averoids to forgive the Tektons (the nature of the Averoid-Tekton grudge is unrevealed). She also wanted the Tektons to grant clemency to the Oobagonians (over another unrevealed slight).

Comments: Created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Joe Sinnott.

Strangely, despite beng a vintage Lee-Kirby alien species who were considered significant enough to appear in the Alien appendix twice, we're still waiting for a bona fide 2nd appearance for the Tektons (even then, Taxtor appeared for little more than 1 page of Fantastic Four I#91)!

The race was named in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#10.

The Oobagonians are Bombu's people (as if I had to tell you).
