History: (Captain Marvel VIII#15 (fb) - BTS) - Theadocia "Teddy" Matthews grew up in Middletown, New York, and spent her summers on the beaches of Old Saybrook.

(Captain Marvel VIII#15 (fb)) - In New York City, "Teddy" saw Tracy Burke walk by and thought Tracy had dropped an address book. She chased Tracy down for two blocks and into the subway, only to find out that the book didn't belong to Tracy. "Teddy" then invited Tracy out to dinner that night and she told Tracy they were destined to know each other.

(Captain Marvel VIII#15 (fb) - BTS) - "Teddy" and Tracy fell in love quickly and spent the next fifteen years together, sometimes making up stories about the people who were in the address book. "Teddy" got to know Tracy's friend, Carol Danvers, who was also the super hero Ms. Marvel.

(Captain Marvel VIII#15 (fb)) - When "Teddy" had a heart attack, Tracy rushed her to the hospital and "Teddy" wasn't given long to live. Tracy called Carol to be with her but "Teddy" swiftly died after that. Weeks later, Tracy spread "Teddy"'s ashes on the beach in Old Saybrook, as Teddy had requested.
