History:

(Ziggy Pig - Silly Seal Comics I#6/6 (fb) - BTS) - Dr. Demon ran a shoe business and wanted to increase sales. He created a dancing serum that would cause anyone injected with it to continue dancing, causing their shoes to wear out faster; the only cure was to be splashed with water.

(Ziggy Pig - Silly Seal Comics I#6/6) - Having finalized his dancing serum, Dr. Demon hoped for two victims to trial it. Coincidentally, Ziggy Pig and Silly Seal, having just been rejected by the cranky Jeremiah Collins in their search for phonograph needles, accidentally clambered into Dr. Demon's house window instead of Collins'. Dr. Demon suddenly stuck the needle in Ziggy's bottom and he immediately began dancing. Revealing his plan was to taint the town's water supply, Dr. Demon then stabbed Silly Seal with the needle and scurried off. Silly's clumsy dancing caused a goldfish bowl to fall on Ziggy's head and Ziggy recovered. Ziggy then helped Silly by smashing a drinking water fountain on Silly's head. The duo rushed to the town reservoir and stopped Dr. Demon, breaking the serum vial on the villain's head. Tied up with rope, they took the now-dancing criminal to face the law and Dr. Demon was locked up in the city jail.

CLARIFICATIONS :
Doctor Demon has no known connections to:

Jeremiah Collins

Old Jeremiah Collins had gout and hated seeing people dancing. He went to all the music stores in town and spitefully bought all the phonograph needles so that nobody could play records. When Ziggy Pig received a record in the post, he needed a new needle and discovered that cranky Collins had hoarded every single one. Collins angrily kicked Ziggy Pig and Silly Seal out when they asked him for a spare needle. Later, after procuring a dancing serum from the nefarious Dr. Demon, Silly jabbed Collins and quickly neutralized any enduring effects. The serum cured Collins' gout and he freely gave the duo a needle out of appreciation.
