(Cable II#65) - As the Tinkerer worked on the Acidroid, he got a call from the Maggia, who wanted to pay him for the Acidroid. Acidroid returned to the destroyed building to take down the entire block, and it began burning through the bedrock below the block. When Cable arrived, Acidroid fired acid at him, and the hero fled. Cable returned in a new costume, one that would protect him from the acid, and attacked. As the Acidroid lashed out, Cable used his telekinesis to hold the building together, protecting the tenants inside, then he dismantled the Acidroid with a punch. The Tinkerer was promising to build a second Acidroid for the Maggia, but Cable stopped him.
