Powers/Abilities: Zzord is a robot composed of unspecified metallic materials durable enough, and it is strong enough to battle the superhumanly powerful Dragon Man, who can lift over 100 tons.
Its head, at least, can not endure Dragon Man's fiery breath (which is reported to reach 8000 F) at close range.
It can project energy blasts from its right hand of sufficient power to stun the durable Dragon Man.
Height: Approximately 12' - 15' (it looked to
be a little shorter than the 15' Dragon Man, but they were never
clearly shown next to each other).
Weight: Approximately 1-2 tons (it didn't look anywhere near as massive as the 3 ton Dragon Man)

History:
(Human Torch II#12 (fb) -
BTS) - Having captured and replaced scientist Gregson Gilbert at State University, an unidentified skrull developed what he perceived to be the next generation in artificial life (an advancement on Gregson's creation Dragon Man).
The Gilbert imposter was working on this when Dragon Man (who periodically visited his creator) unexpectedly
appeared. Dragon Man swiftly sensed that this
was not Gilbert, and it became angry, leading "Gilbert" to run away.
(Human Torch II#12 - BTS) - At State University, "Gilbert" enlisted the aid of the Human Torch and Thing, who fought off Dragon Man and then agreed to capture the creature.
(Human Torch II#12 - BTS) - Figuring
Dragon Man was likely to the return to the last place at which he'd
sought out Gilbert, the Torch and Thing waited within Gilbert's lab.
Eventually,
Dragon Man arrived, but shortly thereafter "Gilbert"
appeared alongside his newest creation, Zzord, who blasted Dragon Man.
"Gilbert" anounced that Dragon Man was obsolete and a dinosaur compared
to Zzord, who would hasten his extinction.
Zzord then tackled Dragon Man out
through the side of the building, after which "Gilbert" revealed that
he was a Skrull
imposter.
(Human Torch II#12 (fb) -
BTS) - Reasoning that Dragon Man had recognized the false Gilbert by
his scent and that the Skrull had hidden Gilbert somewhere where his
scent couldn't be picked up...or where it was already, the Torch
concluded that Gilbert was being held in his own home. The Torch then
knocked the skrull unconscious and rescued Gilbert.
(Human Torch II#12) - Zzord
fired another energy blast into Dragon Man, but the creature then leapt
forward and head-butted Zzord, after which it unleashed its fiery
breath, apparently destroying Zzord's head.
Zzord then crashed to the ground and burst into flames.

BTS) - The Torch defeated the Skrull imposter and rescued the real Gilbert.
