History:

(World War Hulk: Gamma Files (fb) - BTS) - The Hulk's rapid defeat of the Tribbitite (Toad Men) invasion of Earth saw ruler Toadius V deposed and the powerfully strong Tribbitite giant Torkon II installed as ruler.

(Incredible Hulk II#191 (fb) - BTS) - Torkon II's rule focused on thievery of alien technology and slavery to maintain the mechanical Toadworld.

(Incredible Hulk II#190) - Tribbitites patrolling for new slaves for Toadworld came across a paradise-like pocket on a small world that had secretly been crafted by the Shaper of Worlds and Glorian to provide the Hulk peace with the addition of alien imposters of the Hulk's friends, Jarella and "Crackajack" Jackson. The Tribbitites captured the imposters and the Hulk using magnetic weaponry, and took them into space destined for Toadworld.

(Incredible Hulk II#191) - On Toadworld, the Hulk and companions were taken before King Torkon II and his wife, Queen Froja, and the Hulk was blackmailed into becoming a slave until the Tribbitites discovered that the Shaper of World had made the Hulk's paradise planetoid. Keen to harness the power of the Shaper of Worlds for their own purposes, Torkon II ordered that the Hulk be strapped with a Skrull Nulltron bomb to disable the Shaper of Worlds. Tribbitites followed Torkon II's plan and took the Hulk back to the paradise planetoid where the bomb incapacitated both the Shaper and Hulk. The Shaper of Worlds was then taken back by Tribbitites while Glorian helped a recovered Hulk travel instantly to Toadworld. The Tribbitites injured the peaceful Glorian. With the Shaper's concentration lapsed, the Jarella and Johnson imposter's alien forms were revealed, enraging the Hulk, so he rampaged, damaging the world's mechanics and overcoming Torkon II's immense strength crown-mounted blasts. Torkon II ordered his subjects attack the Hulk but the jade giant overcame the all in a destructive rage. With his world broken, Torkon II begged the Shaper of Worlds for help, but seeing his unconscious friend Glorian, the Shaper denied and teleported away with the Hulk. Torkon II was left behind on a now-dark Toadworld.

(World War Hulk: Gamma Files) - Toadworld's stability was restored and the Hulk was again targeted by Torkon II and the Tribbitites.

(Hostess ad: Incredible Hulk and "Friends") - The Hulk was once more captured by Torkon II and incarcerated in a deep cave. A lone Tribbitite helped the Hulk escape.

(World War Hulk: Gamma Files) - Torkon II was deposed with the aid of the Hulk, who then returned to Earth. Toadius V was freed and reinstated as leader, and the Tribbitite goal of conquest renewed.

Comments: Created by Len Wein, Herb Trimpe & Joe Staton (inks).

Torkon II may be incarcerated, just as he imprisoned Toadius V. Froja's fate is also unrevealed. Maybe they were exiled to a semi-barren world, which was then consumed by the Annihilation Wave.

CLARIFICATIONS :
Torkon II has no known connections to:

Amphos

After the Hulk had been captured on the paradise planetoid and brought to Toadworld, Amphos was the main Tribbitite (Toad Man) brutishly pushing the shackled Hulk forward to King Tornak II.

Froja

Froja was queen on Toadworld during Torkon II's reign and carried a large decorative mace that seemed more weapon than ceremonial. She was of the same large size and build as Torkon II and wielded considerable influence as his wife. Her first impression of the Hulk and the two alien captives from the paradise planetoid was that she was fond of the Hulk until he became violent, at which point she used her mace until Tribbitite numbers could distract him.

Her final fate is unrevealed, but she was very likely deposed alongside Torkon II.

Gridney

Once the Skrull Nulltron bomb had been detonated on the paradise planetoid, incapacitating both the Hulk and the Shaper of Worlds, Gridney was one of several Tribbitites (Toad Men) tasked with retrieving the Shaper's body. They left the unconscious Hulk's body behind and returned to Toadworld.

Grodnik

Grodnik was one of the obedient Tribbitite laboratory men in Toad Tower on Toadworld tasked to re-adapt the Skrull Nulltron bomb to fit the Hulk's muscular frame. Grodnik did so quickly in fear of Torkon II's wrath.
