Powers/Abilities: Recoil is a mutant whose mutant powers are unrevealed. As a X.S.E. officer, he received armed and unarmed combat training.

History:
(Bishop#3 - BTS) - The man who would become known as Recoil grew up in the dystopian future of Earth-1191. He was presumably in one of the many concentration camps for mutants where he was tattooed over the right eye with an "M", marking him as a mutant.

(X.S.E.#1 (fb) - BTS) - After the Summers Rebellion, Recoil became one of the founding members of the Xavier Security Enforcers alongside Trace, Amazon, Sureshot and commanding officer Hecate. The X.S.E.'s mission; close the mutant relocation camps, stop the branding of mutants and police mutantkind. As such he regularly worked alongside Amazon.

(Bishop#3 (fb) / X.S.E.#1 (fb) / Uncanny X-Men '96 (fb) ) - On the hunt for rogue mutants, Recoil and Amazon patrolled a mutant relocation camp when the vile Billiboy and Halftrack just killed Summers Rebellion veteran Hancock. Hancock had been taking care of the young mutant siblings Bishop and Shard after the loss of their grandmother. Successfully apprehending Billiboy and Halftrack before they could kill the mutant siblings, Recoil watched as Amazon asked the young Bishop to join the X.S.E.. Bishop accepted the invitation on the terms that his sister Shard could join as well, Amazon allowed it.

(X.S.E.#1 - BTS) - Eventually the X.S.E. opened an academy to train younger generations of mutants to become X.S.E. officers, among those cadets were young Bishop, Shard and Trevor Fitzroy.
