History: (Incredible Hulk II#314 (fb) - BTS) - While the Hulk was stuck in the Crossroads, Betty Ross began a relationship with Ramon Morales. The two moved in together.

(Incredible Hulk II#314) - Morales woke up one morning and found Betty already awake. When Morales asked Betty why she was up early, she was irked by his calling her "baby" and lost her temper at him but soon calmed down and apologized. Morales turned on the radio and Betty heard on the news that the Hulk, recently returned from the Crossroads, had been sighted.

(Incredible Hulk II#315 - BTS) - After learning that Bruce Banner had returned, Betty left Morales to go find and reunited with Bruce Banner.

(Incredible Hulk II#331) - Morales set out searching for Betty, referring to himself as Betty's husband. He traced her to a town near Gamma Base in New Mexico and stopped at a local police station to ask if Betty had been seen. The sergeant manning the front desk recognized Morales' photograph of Betty and directed him to the nearby military base.

(Incredible Hulk II#332) - Morales showed up at Gamma Base and tried to gain entry. The guard refused to let Morales in and was incredulous when Morales referred to himself as Betty's husband, as Betty had recently married Bruce Banner. Morales tried to shove his way past the guard. When the guard resisted, Morales brandished a switchblade and challenged the guard to fight him without his gun. The guard obliged, easily thrashed Morales, and sent him away.

Undaunted, Morales placed a call to Gamma Base and was put through to Betty. Betty was outraged at Morales having contacted her, telling him emphatically that he was in her past and that she never wanted to hear his voice again.

(Incredible Hulk II#333) - Morales dropped a note off at Gamma Base for Betty, asking her to meet him at a bar in town, Christie's, at 7 pm. Betty, feeling frustration towards Bruce Banner for having willingly become the Hulk again after being apparently cured, considered it. Morales waited at Christie's for 2 hours and was about to give up when Betty entered the bar.

(Incredible Hulk II#334) - Betty went to Morales's hotel, where the two talked until 4 a.m. and Morales fell asleep. Betty reflected on how Morales was there for her during a difficult time in her life and worked hard to support her, and also thought about the recent difficulties she'd had in her relationship with Bruce Banner.

Before long, Bruce Banner and Rick Jones located the pair at Morales's hotel. Bruce Banner arrived and forced his way past Morales into the room, expressing disappointment toward Betty. Morales told Banner to leave and then physically attacked him (over Betty's protest) when he refused. Rick Jones intervened and easily knocked Morales out.

(Incredible Hulk II#337) - Betty, who had been injured badly when Banner had transformed into the Hulk while holding her in his arms, was recuperating in a hospital. Betty and Morales reestablished contact and Betty made arrangements to sneak out of the hospital without checking out to make it more difficult for Banner to locate her. Morales arrived and left the hospital with Betty.

(Incredible Hulk II#339) - Morales and Betty traveled on, passing through Boulder Colorado and stopping at a hotel in Denver. At the hotel, Betty complained of feeling sick (see comments) and went to take a shower. After some time, Morales grew frustrated at how long Betty was taking in the bathroom and after she continually failed to respond, Morales broke down the door. To his surprise, Betty was gone, having left the hotel through an open window.

Comments: Created by John Byrne and Bob Wiacek

The reason for Betty's sickness in Incredible Hulk II#339 was that she was pregnant (by Bruce Banner, not Ramon).
