Powers/Abilities: Louie the String was a small-time criminal with access to moderate resources. He had a strong willpower, able to be tortured for hours without giving up information.

History: (Daredevil I#170 (fb) – BTS) – From overseas, the Kingpin reached out to Louie the String to set him up with a new hideout near New York. Though retired, Kingpin was returning to criminal activity after the kidnapping of his wife. Many criminals wanted to know about Kingpin's plans and someone eventually fingered Louie the String as his contact. Louie was apprehended by thugs against the Kingpin.  

(Daredevil I#170) – After being captured, Louie was tortured and beaten for three hours. Just before he died, he revealed the details about Kingpin's plans to arrive the next day by plane at a farm on Staten Island.

Kingpin knew Louie the String would cave in. When the criminals later attacked the farm, he had set it with explosives and he killed the criminals in the subsequent explosion.
