Powers/Abilities: Logan could extend Adamantium claws from his forehands that could slice through nearly anything. He also possessed a mutant healing factor that kept him from dying of Adamantium poisoning.

Originally, his healing factor was strong enough to heal nearly any physical injury but after being injected with multiple doses of a mutant cure, his healing factor taxed itself fighting off the cure to the point where it could only barely keep him from dying of Adamantium poisoning, leaving Logan fearful of being unable to heal if he extended his claws. With his healing factor barely fighting it, the Adamantium poisoning also damaged Logan's heart to the point where any overexertion could potentially kill him.

He formerly possessed superhuman senses but after being exposed to the mutant cure, he no longer possessed those powers.

Height: 5'3" (by approximation)
Weight: 300 lbs. (by approximation)

History: (Age of X Alpha#1/4 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Logan's skeleton and claws were bonded with indestructible Adamantium and he became an agent of the Mutant Resistance.

(Age of X Alpha#1/4 (fb)) - After Dr. Kavita Rao developed a cure for the mutant gene, Logan, having secretly received intel on the cure from Rao herself, busted into Rao's facility as her colleague Richard was suggesting putting the cure into the water supply. Announcing his plans to ensure that the cure never left Rao's lab, Logan was soon trapped in the lab by force screens when Richard initiated isolation protocols. Bragging to Logan that there was nothing he could do now, Richard laughed as Logan and Rao, who revealed her part in secretly luring Logan there in the first place, discussed how to make sure the cure was never used against mutants. Eventually, Dr. Rao suggested that the only way to destroy the cure was for Logan to metabolize it, remarking that Logan's healing factor should help him survive unless the cure overwhelmed the healing factor too quickly, in which case it would kill Logan. Logan agreed to have Dr. Rao inject him with twenty doses of the cure at a time but when Dr. Rao prepared to inject the final existing dose into Logan, a frantic Richard attacked Dr. Rao with a chair. Richard then ranted to Logan that as long as one dose remained, the cure could reconstituted and used, but Dr. Rao recovered enough to inject the final dose into Richard, killing him as Logan's healing factor attempted to work against the cure doses in his system. As the cure overwhelmed his healing factor, an extremely weakened Logan fell to his knees and muttered how the Adamantium in his body was poisonous and that his healing factor had been what kept the poisoning in check. Despite Logan's insistence that Rao go ahead and kill him, as he had accomplished his mission to destroy the cure, Rao refused to take another life and instead saved Logan's life by injecting anti-toxins into his bloodstream.

(X-Men: Legacy I#246 (fb) - BTS) - The cure doses caused Logan to lose his superhuman senses.

(X-Men: Legacy I#245 (fb) - BTS) - Surviving, Logan was left severely weakened and his healing factor was only barely capable of preventing his death from Adamantium poisoning, halting his further use as an active Resistance agent and weakening his heart to the point where overexertion could kill him. At some point, Logan took to running the Rat Run bar inside Magneto's Fortress X, where members of the Mutant Resistance often visited following their daily fight against invading humans.

(X-Men: Legacy I#246 (fb) - BTS) - Over time, Logan began cutting himself on a regular basis in an effort to test the remains of his healing factor.

(X-Men: Legacy I#245) - Following the death of Mutant Resistance member Tempo, her teammate Frenzy visited the Rat Run bar and talked to Logan about Tempo's death, sarcastically remarking that at least Tempo had died in the field instead of some hole. Asking Frenzy to quit riding him about not being in the field, Logan reminded her of why he was not out there fighting alongside the other Resistance members. Frenzy then tried to goad Logan into popping his claws and Logan reminded Frenzy that he would die if he popped his claws. When she replied that it was better than what he had now, Logan berated Frenzy, assuring her that she had no idea what he wanted or had before telling her to keep her bottle and drink to old times, hopefully getting drunk enough to forget them. He then turned his attention towards another customer as Basilisk entered the bar to speak with Frenzy.

(X-Men: Legacy II#300 (fb) - BTS) - As several of the Mutant Resistance members geared up for their daily battles, Dazzler asked the others if anyone drank at Logan's bar the night before, commenting on how much of a downer Logan had become.

(X-Men: Legacy I#246) - Logan was cutting himself when Legacy stumbled into the Rat Run and tried to keep herself hidden. Remarking that while he had lost his superhuman senses, he could still hear Legacy breathing, Logan suggested Legacy reveal herself but when he saw her barely standing, Logan commented that she looked like a mess and asked who had done this to her. Muttering that she had been labeled an enemy of the people, Legacy collapsed in Logan's arms and Logan suggested they get her cleaned up and dress her wounds, commenting that if her story was good enough, she might earn a drink on the house. Bandaging up Legacy's arm, Logan asked how Legacy had not been caught yet and Legacy explained that she had been using the absorbed powers of Victor Borkowski and Domino. When Legacy thanked Logan for not turning her in, Logan told her to forget about it and remarked that not everything was as it seemed, especially with the knife he was using to cut himself. Legacy explained that she was aware Logan was testing his healing factor due to absorbed telepathic powers and Logan asked what her plan was. As Legacy explained that she had absorbed the powers of a man named X in the X-Brig and that something seemed off when he had memories of all of the mutants in Fortress X, Logan reminded Legacy that no mutant had the power to rewrite memories and that it couldn't be possible for X to know them. Moments later, the Moonstar Cadre soldiers busted into the Rat Run seeking Legacy and finding only Logan inside, who offered to help. When the Moonstar Cadre found Legacy's blood and glove in the bar, Logan claimed a customer had left those behind the night before but Dust accused him of lying. Amara then noticed that Logan was standing over the entrance to the downstairs wine cellar and hadn't moved since the Moonstar Cadre entered. Claiming he was comfortable where he was and that he had no intention of moving out of the way, Logan was threatened by Eclipse until Dani Moonstar found blood near a window sill and deduced that Logan was simply standing there to stall the Cadre as Legacy escaped elsewhere. Later that night, Logan met with Basilisk and the two discussed Legacy's claims that the world seemed off, with Logan remarking that many things about Fortress X smelled of lies. When Basilisk asked what Logan had in mind about what to do with Legacy's claims, Logan suggested they stir things up in an effort to get some answers and Basilisk agreed.

(New Mutants III#24) - As humans breached Fortress X, Logan watched from the roof of the Rat Run as soldiers ran past and the battle made its way to his bar. Weighing his options of his life vs. his need to help his fellow mutants, Logan ultimately popped his claws despite the risk to his own life and entered the battle against the soldiers. Making his way to Basilisk, Logan teamed with Basilisk, who admitted he was glad Logan decided to join the fight. A bloodied Logan then continued fighting as Legion entered the battlefield and halted the fight, prepared to set the world right.

Comments: Created by Mike Carey and Paco Diaz.

Originally, this version of Wolverine was seen when Earth-616 experienced a reality warp but the altered reality diverged from reality-616 into its own reality (reality-11326) when reality-616 was restored.

While New Mutants III#24 ends with reality-616 being restored from the reality warp that overlapped it with the now-divergent reality-11326, we don't how events played out on reality-11326 following Legion's halting of the fight so I chose to end this profile at the point in which Legion intervened.

Logan was never called Wolverine in-story, although "Wolverine" was the title of the story in his first appearance...

We can presume Logan's real name is indeed James Howlett in reality-11326, as Eclipse/Sunspot calls him "Jimmy" at one point. His full name of James Howlett is never used, however.

His physical stats are approximated from those of his Earth-616 counterpart.
