History:  (Alan Davis' website (fb) - BTS) - Sherlock Destine was born in Yden.

(ClanDestine I#5 - BTS) - Following his death, Sherlock Destine was buried in the Destine family cemetery with no dates inscribed on the headstone to prevent anyone from discovering ClanDestine's longevity.

Comments: Created by Alan Davis and Mark Farmer.

Sherlock Destine was only mentioned as a Destine family member and his gravestone was seen in the family cemetery.

Per Alan Davis:
"Garth, Lance and Sherlock were a simple throwaway 'homage' to some of my favourite fictional characters. Garth and Lance McLane were Newspaper strips in the UK and I chose Sherlock Holmes because I thought the name was unique enough to be recognised as a homage—with the additional playful suggestion that Holmes may have been a Destine." - BIG THANKS to Loki for finding this quote on Alan Davis' forum!

Alan Davis confirmed on his website that all of Elalyth's children were born in the extradimensional paradise of Yden since Elalyth was unable to leave that dimension.

Alan Davis has stated (on his message board) that "none (of the Destines) have died natural deaths so the true extent of their lifespan has never been tested." The obvious implication is that Garth, Lance and Sherlock all died of something other than natural causes. So, these three (and all their other deceased siblings) must have died by violence (in a war) or they were murdered or died in accidents or even committed suicide. - Donald Campbell
