History:

(Human Fly I#7 (fb) - BTS) - West-TV reporter Harmony Whyte had been assigned to unmask and destroy the reputation of the Human Fly, who performed amazing stunts for charity. However, the more Whyte observed the stuntman, the more she sympathized with his efforts.

(Human Fly I#6) - West-TV producer Carl Braden had Whyte fly in from Canada to his Los Angeles office to berate her for failing to expose the Human Fly as a charlatan. He threatened Whyte that she either expose the Human Fly as a fraud or she would be fired.

(Human Fly I#11) - Braden confronted Whyte at the Human Fly's St. Louis arch stunt, dismissing her excuse that the stuntman was not a fraud. Both were astonished that the Human Fly went ahead with the incredible motorcycle stunt and thrilled the crowd. Inspired by the stuntman's fear-defying feat, Whyte told Braden she quit.

(Human Fly I#13) - Braden took over West-TV's coverage of the Human Fly's speed-skiing stunt on Mount Whitney, which required special high altitude gear. Determined to film the Human Fly faking a stunt, he took the lead camera role, pushing his top camera operator Raf Abrams into support, and took a snow-sled down the slope alongside the stuntman. However, he traveled too close, almost hitting the Human Fly, and crashed his own snow-sled. Badly injured and sliding toward the cliff-face, Braden was saved from falling to his death by the Human Fly. Later, the Human Fly and his support group, now including Whyte, visited Braden in hospital. The producer admitted his foolishness and apologized to the stuntman. Impressed with Whyte's filming, he also offered Whyte her old job back, no longer dictating an agenda, and she accepted.
