History:

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#2 (fb) - BTS) - Tara was in a relationship with Bethany Flynn. They both worked for Leonard Crowley's supernatural magazine Midnight Sun.

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#1 (fb) - BTS) - Journalist Tara Algren tried to get in contact with Blade when he moved to New York City to interview him about the Nightstalkers, but she only got a hold of his landlady Julia Suarez when she called him at his new home. Blade decided to ignore her.

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#1) - Tara traveled to Rhode Island and at night reached the location where Blade's partners Hannibal King and Frank Drake had died in an explosion. Tara thought to herself that next time Bethany could put a story for her paper herself. Trying to find evidence on what had killed ⅔'s of the Nightstalkers and found two fused shadows on a wall. Tara knew no bodies were ever discovered and was afraid whatever had happened here could mark the return of one of the greatest evil ever. When she noticed that somebody was behind her it was already too late for her when Dracula attacked her.

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#2 (fb) - BTS) - Tara called Bethany at the office to tell her she had the Nightstalkers story in the bag, but that it was bigger than they had figured. She invited Bethany to meet her at the Body Hammer club later to see who she was hanging out with.

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#2) - At night Bethany met with Tara at the Body Hammer club. Tara introduced Bethany to Dracula, who asked Bethany to join him for a drink...and she ended up being the drink.

Tara and Bethany both kneeled next to Dracula when he welcomed Blade to the club. He told Blade neither of the women wanted to be saved and had surrendered themselves to him almost willingly. Blade then attacked Dracula.

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#10) - Tara laid in front of Dracula's chair while they watched Blade defeat Postmortem. Though Dracula was angry that Postmortem had died without killing Blade, Tara reminded Dracula that it didn't matter because he already owned most of Project: Postmortem's secrets on a disc.

Just look at the image to the right! Two independent women turned into slaves by Dracula, wearing nothing more than skimpy clothes.

Leonard Crowley has no known connection to:

Bethany Flynn has no known connection to:

Leonard Crowley

Leonard Crowley was the owner of the supernatural Midnight Sun magazine. He was a heavy smoker and a total sleazeball. Bethany assumed Leonard hoped that some idiot interested in the occult was dumb enough to believe he was related to the late English occultist Aleister Crowley.

One afternoon Crowley, whom Bethany always called Crawley in a derogatory way, asked her where the article on the Nightstalkers was that Tara was supposed to turn in. Leonard didn't like how Bethany treated him, but she knew he had to because he had nobody else to run his magazine. When Bethany left to meet with Tara at the Body Hammer club Leonard asked her if they could turn this into a date, which she denied.

Bethany Flynn

Bethany presumably possessed the standard strengths and weaknesses a vampire.

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#2 (fb) - BTS) - Bethany was in a relationship with Tara Algren. They both worked for Leonard Crowley's supernatural magazine Midnight Sun, which was practically run by Bethany.

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#2) - When Bethany arrived at the office one afternoon she was immediately harassed by Leonard about the Nightstalkers story Tara was supposed to turn in. She greeted "Crawley" and made fun of his dream to be mistaken for a relative of Aleister Crowley and reminded him that he needed her to run his magazine because he had no clue how to do anything. After listening to a message from Tara on her answering machine about the Nightstalkers story she left the office again to put on different clothes for her meeting with Tara at the Body Hammer club. She denied Leonard's request to turn this into a date.

Dressed up in a black dress Bethany met Tara at the Body Hammer club that night. Tara introduced Bethany to Dracula.

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#2 - BTS) - Dracula bit Bethany.

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#2) - Bethany and Tara kneeled next to Dracula when he welcomed Blade at the club. He told Blade neither of the women wanted to be saved and had surrendered themselves to him almost willingly. Blade then attacked Dracula.

(Blade: The Vampire-Hunter I#10) - Bethany gave Dracula a shoulder rub while they watched Blade defeat Postmortem.
