Watchers can alter their appearance at will through psionic means, rather than actually shifting their physical form. Watchers can convert their bodies into living energy which allows them to transport themselves, and others, through space at hyper-light speeds. Watchers can also psionically manipulate energy in the electromagnetic spectrum. Watchers, compared to humans, are seemingly immortal, being several millennia old.

History:

(She-Hulk I#7 (fb) - BTS) - Zoma the Watcher was assigned to observe the outer-rim territories.

(She-Hulk I#7) - Zoma was called before the Magistrati court of justice to act as a representative to the Watchers, along with his "colleagues" Uatu and Qyre. The case involved the alien race known as the Recluses who had kept their planet hidden since the dawn of time but had nevertheless been discovered by Qyre. Refusing to be watched, the Recluses turned to the Magistrati, demanding their sovereign right to privacy. Speaking on behalve of his fellow Watcher, Zoma reasoned with temporary judge Jennifer Walters (known on her native planet as She-Hulk) that Qyre was the only being who had actually seen the Recluses. None of the other Watchers had ever seen them, because of their agreement not to share knowledge during their gatherings. Hoping to find an acceptable compromise, She-Hulk suggested that Qyre simply wouldn't participate in any future Watchers gatherings to prevent any knowledge of the Recluses' existence from being (inadvertendly) shared. When both parties agreed, the Magistrati caused Qyre's mouth to vanish, thereby making sure he'd keep his end of the deal.

(GLA#4) - In an attempt to unlock the secret of existence, Maelstrom used a machine called the Chronal Accelerator to implode the universe. While the Great Lakes Avengers tried their best to stop the madman the machine was already affecting the edges of existence, from the outer rim to the furthest meta-realms that began collapsing. As such Zoma was seen hanging on for dear life on his observatory.

(She-Hulk I#10 - BTS) - Abiding by the Magistrati's ruling, Zoma secretly resented She-Hulk for her ruling that caused the mutilation of one of his brethren.

(She-Hulk I#10 (fb) - BTS) - Tryco Slatterus, the Elder of the Universe commonly kown as Champion, was looking for a way to pay back She-Hulk for the defeat she'd handed him. When he learned of the Magistrati's decision and Zoma's unease, he decided to seek the Watcher out.

(She-Hulk I#10) - While watching the outer-rim of the Universe from his observatory Zoma was approached by Champion, who'd used an Omega class warpsuit to track the Watcher down. Champion explained how they'd both have an axe to grind with She-Hulk, proposing a plan to destroy the jade giantess by handing his Infinity Power Gem to the one person who hated Jennifer Walters the most. Zoma used his powers as a Watcher to zone in on the most likely candidate, pointing Slatterus to She-Hulk's archenemy Titania (Mary "Skeeter" MacPherran).

An alternate reality version of Zoma also appeared in She-Hulk II#3 during the so-called Reckoning War were he saw his cousin and fellow Watcher Xavi die (Xavi has not appeared in the 616 reality yet). When that reality's version of She-Hulk offered her apology Zoma hit her with his fist, cursing the earth woman as it was all her doing.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Zoma has no known connections to

Zoma's observatory

Like most Watchers, Zoma lived and worked from an observatory type manor that allowed him to record everything and everyone of significance in his assigned sector of space. Zoma's observatory floatedd near the outer-rim territories, seemingly powered by three engines of unknown composition. Zoma used the resources of his observatory to help the Elder of the Universe Champion (Tryco Slatterus) find the one person in the known universe who hated She-Hulk the most.
