History:

(Alpha Flight I#108 - BTS) - Prodigy, one of Poland’s greatest heroes, was invited to attend the Pan-European Conference on Superhuman Affairs held in Switzerland.

(Alpha Flight I#108) - By way of satellite, Prodigy, along with other European heroes, were greeted by Ursula, the host of the Superhuman Conference, and introduced to Alpha Flight who were there as ambassadors from Canada. During the event, the villainous ex-Nazi criminal, Brain Drain, disrupted the Conference and, using his power to control minds, subverted Prodigy's will, forcing him to hunt down and kill the Polish President.

Prodigy knocks himself silly

Prodigy was in the process of attacking his country's leader when Vindicator showed up to stop him. Quickly coming up with a way to deal with Vindicator, he created a device and overrode her battlesuit before forcing the armor to attack the Polish leader. Vindicator, turning the power off on her armor, then quickly defeated the young boy who, in fear, began to run away and smacked headlong into a wall. Later, after regaining his senses, he appeared in person at the Pan-European Conference as Poland’s appointed superhero ambassador.

Comments: Created by Scott Lobdell (writer) and Tom Morgan (pencils & inks).

The Prodigy closely resembles the character "Dennis the Menace" by Henry King "Hank" Ketcham (1920-2001).

Marvel comics produced a "Dennis the Menace" comic series (1981-1982).
