History:

(Generation M#2 (fb) - BTS) - A New York detective, Patterson's work got a lot busier after M-Day, when many mutants lost their powers. He found himself dealing with more deaths and suicides.

(Generation M#2) - When reporter Sally Floyd and editor Neil Crawford claimed to have found photographs of four dead mutants taped to Floyd's door, Patterson questioned them. They identified four of the five victims as Roach (Hubie Edge), Dynamite (Susan Svensson), John Mairs, and Tim Hacker. Patterson asked Floyd about her alibi, then he and his partner explained that the real killer likely wanted Floyd to make him famous. His subversive, Larry, later hounded Floyd for her articles. Days later, Patterson and his partner responded to a call for aid from their ally Jonesy, and he showed the murdered body of LaTonya Jefferson, which was impaled to the ceiling.
