History:

(Daredevil II#19 (fb)) – Abusive father Buford Lange lived in Hell’s Kitchen with his wife Allison and autistic son, Timmy. When he found an abandoned Leap-Frog costume, he went on a crime spree, robbing small businesses. After he robbed an antique store, he was attacked by Daredevil, who got the drop on Lange until he was distracted by Timmy, looking to see what was going on. Leap-Frog grabbed a pipe and hit Daredevil repeatedly while threatening Timmy if he didn’t go inside. Timmy shockingly grabbed an exposed electric wire and hit his father with it. Leap-Frog went crashing to the street below and landed in a garbage truck, seemingly dead.

(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A-Z Hardcover#4: Frog-Man) - Buford survived.

(Wolverine III#27 (fb) - BTS) - Buford was killed and reanimated by the Hand to serve them and Hydra in an attack on SHIELD.

(Wolverien III#26 - BTS - Wolverine III#27) - During the attack on SHIELD's Helicarrier he was killed again by Wolverine.

Lange's first name was revealed in Leap-Frog's (Patilio) profile in All-New OHotMU#4. In OHOTMU Hardcover#4 in Frog-Man's entry he was revealed as the Leapfrog resurrected by the Hand.

Leap-Frog's first name (Buford) may be a reference to Bufo, a large genus of toads.
