Powers/Abilities: Logan wears spring-loaded boots that allow him to leap great distances. He also has suction pads in his gloves allowing him to cling to walls and such. He was also a decently nimble guy and was clearly very good at building gadgets.

History: (Speedball#3 (fb) - BTS) - At some point Leaper Logan was a criminal who was arrested by Officer Burnatt and ended up in the Springdale Maximum Security Prison. He got a job working in the machine shop there.

(Speedball#3) - Logan, having spent his years in the workshop building a jumping platform, used the device to jump over the walls of the prison. He immediately returned to his hideout, built new devices and began a crime spree to "make fools of this whole town!"

Logan decided the best way to go about this would be to spell out his name with the first letters of the items he steals (Of course!) He began by stealing gold from the Lodestone Gold Company (that's the L). Then the earrings of the wealthy Mrs. Ellison (the E), he got a copy of Amazing Comics #1 (for the A). When Logan stole the Punjab Pendant from Robbie Baldwin's mother, Speedball got involved, but Logan was able to get away with the loot. Then Logan stole the Ebar Emerald (he's up to E). By this point Speedball was able to deduce what Logan was doing and was on the scene when Logan tries to steal some rare Roman coins. The two scuffled and Speedball knocked Logan into some cops, one of whom was Burnatt, who brought Logan in for the second time.

(New Warriors I#66 - BTS) - Logan was one of the many villains that Clyde broke out of Springdale prison.

(New Warriors I#66) - Logan and many other criminals were employed by Clyde to find Dr. Benson's cat Niels, which had powers similar to Speedball that Clyde intended to steal. When Speedball found the criminals, Logan was the first to be taken down. He was taken back to prison with the rest of them.

Logan also had a penchant for speaking in alliteration while on a job.

Leaper Logan was already known as "Leaper Logan" when he was in jail, so it's safe to assume that his original crime spree involved similar technology.

I don't entirely buy Clyde's claim to have been behind all the villains of Springdale. Logan certainly seems to be a self-made man in his first appearance.

My understanding is that the Speedball in the New Warriors issue wasn't really Speedball, but Dorrian Grobe, who actually thought he was Speedball. Doesn't change things from Logan's perspective though.
