History: (Defenders II#6 (fb) - BTS) - Certain members of the Avian-race often called the Bird-People formed the Bloodraven Cult and sought to incite a war with the surface world. The cult was outlawed and their temple destroyed. The cult reformed secretly, however, and built a mystic bomb that would open a gateway, allowing the powerful Wayfinder through to destabilize the world.

(Defenders II#6) - Red Raven's daughter, Dania, spotted the Bloodraven Cult's sigil and noticed the bomb. She rushed off and the Earth-bound heroes, the Defenders (Doctor Stephen Strange, Hellcat, Hulk (Bruce Banner), Nighthawk, Sub-Mariner, Valkyrie (Samantha Parrington)), who scattered the Cult and subdued them. The worked to stop the bomb, but it was too late. The bomb went off with a massive "Frakka-Choom!"

(Defenders II#7) - The Wayfinder began to enter the world, paving the way for the darker god that would follow. The Bloodraven cultists fought the assembled heroes, hoping to distract them long enough for the Wayfinder to complete his mission. Red Raven plugged up the portal with Sky-Island itself, and planned to deal with the Bloodravens.
