History:
(Marvel Fanfare I#54/2 (fb) - BTS) - LeSeig hired Stealth Inc. to capture Wolverine in Madripoor. They delivered Wolverine to him. LeSeig paid them and got information from them how to render Wolverine unconscious again. Not too long after that Recombinants brought four campers to LeSeig.

(Marvel Fanfare I#54/2) - LeSeig welcomed the awakening campers in his lair and introduced himself. He told them his plans to create a superior human/animal race after his attempts to combine animals weren't satisfying anymore. He continued his crazy babble by talking about his failed experiments and finally he showed the campers a successful melding of animal and human he would use as a model: Wolverine. He was LeSeig's original motivation to start his experiments when he heard about Wolverine stalking through the woods the first time and now Wolverine was in LeSeig's possession to be dissected.

(Marvel Fanfare I#55/2) - Wolverine collapsed in his cage and LeSeig was afraid that he had overdosed him. He ordered Fisher and Thidwick to get him out for examination, but Wolverine attacked them. LeSeig trapped Wolverine immediately in an isolation booth and used the toxin Stealth Inc. had used before on Wolverine to knock him out. LeSeig then had Wolverine brought to his operation table, but Wolverine wasn't unconscious and before LeSeig could use extra anesthetic on him, Wolverine was free and after him. LeSeig ran upstairs to get more loyal Recombinants and sent them against Wolverine. They failed miserably, but the fight gave LeSeig the time to get a big gun to finish Wolverine. LeSeig shot and all three darts missed. Wolverine broke the fence to the failed Recombinants' pit and LeSeig attempted to drug him again, so that Wolverine would fall into the pit and get killed, but Wolverine grabbed LeSeig and threw him into the pit. LeSeig was slaughtered by his failed Recombinants.

Recombinants

They were created by Theodore LeSeig through recombinant surgery on animals. Some of them were loyal to LeSeig. They caught campers and protected him from foes like Wolverine. The more extreme Recombinants (see right) weren't so happy with their short life of horror and pain. They ripped apart LeSeig friendly Recombinants when they fell into their pit and did the same to LeSeig. One Recombinant left the pit and activated LeSeig's fail-safe toxic gas jets to kill all Recombinants including itself.

Some of the loyal Recombinants were named: Fisher, Thidwick, Kukula and Richard.
