DYNA-DISK

Classification: Terrestrial technology

Creator: Diablo

Users/Possessors: Diablo

First Appearance: Avengers I#41 (June, 1967)

Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Dyna-Disk was a palm-held item which could generate energy blasts or create invisible barriers. The barriers it created were so strong that not even Goliath (Hank Pym) could break through. The energies of the Dyna-Disk could also awaken the Dragon Man from its inactive state.

History: (Avengers I#41) - Diablo invaded the laboratory of Henry Pym to reclaim the Dragon Man. Finding Bill Foster there, Diablo blasted him with his Dyna-Disk, then used the device to awaken the Dragon Man. When Goliath entered the scene, Diablo fired the Dyna-Disk at him, but he quickly shrank to duck the blast. However, Diablo managed to hit the Wasp with his Dyna-Disk, then had Dragon Man carry him, Goliath and the Wasp to his castle.

(Avengers I#42) - When the Avengers invaded his castle, Diablo used his Dyna-Disk to generate an invisible barrier to hold them back, and Quicksilver ran into the barrier trying to reach him. Goliath and Hawkeye both tried to breach the barrier, but could not. Diablo then set off to kill his captive, the Wasp, but Captain America had broken into his control center. Diablo tried to blast him with the Dyna-Disk, but Captain America deflected the energy with his shield, then knocked the Dyna-Disk from his hand when he threw his shield at him. He then took the Dyna-Disk and used it to lower Diablo's barrier.
