First Appearance: X.S.E.#1 (November, 1996)

Powers/Abilities: Daemon had the mutant ability to generate flame, his skin igniting and constantly burning with exposure to the air. It is presumed that he could also direct these flames as blasts.

As a terrorist, he had no qualms about killing, including fellow mutants, in efforts to promote his violent cause. He had a deep hatred of humans and listened to no-one.

He wore red gloves and boots that were fire retardant.

History: The exact origins of Daemon have not been revealed.

(X.S.E.#1 (fb) - BTS) - Daemon participated in the Summers rebellion against the Sentinels, but proved difficult for Summers to keep in line. With Summers later gone, Daemon stayed with the Exhumes and launched raids on humans as part of his hate-filled war against humans.

(X.S.E.#1 (fb)) - Daemon led the Exhumes, including the vicious Virago, in destroying the human settlement near Del Ray. His violent attacks led to the formation of Xavier's Security Enforcers (X.S.E.) in an effort to curb the mutant violence against humans.

(X.S.E.#2 (fb) - BTS) - The Exhumes reformed under a new leader, Styglut, indicating that Daemon had been removed from leadership, presumably killed.

Comments: Created by John Ostrander (writer), Chris Gardner (penciler) and Terry Austin (inker).

Technically, the reference to Daemon was all told in flashback, with Bishop going over his past with Shard in the X-Men's Danger Room.

The stripes on his torso are reminiscent of Wolverine's costume.
