STRIKER

Real Name: Tomas Aguado

Identity/Class: Human (possibly mutant?)

Occupation: Rebel soldier

Group Membership: The Shadows

Affiliations: Hawkeye, Striker, U.S. government

Enemies: Advisor, Luke Bergier, Hawkeye, Hazzerd, government of San Revilla, Troubleshooter, U.S. Agent, War Machine

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: None

Base of Operations: Mobile in San Revilla

First Appearance: Force Works#12/2 (War Machine: Brothers in Arms: Vicious Circle#1) (June, 1995)

Powers/Abilities: Striker possessed superhuman strength and durability. Striker wore gloves with metal knuckle-coverings (sometimes depicted as just metal knuckles, with no gloves), and a radio headset.

Striker was a violent, angry man who, despite his great strength, always preferred to attack an opponent from behind. He killed both enemy troops and civilians for his cause without a care.

History: (Force Works#12/2 (fb, BTS))- The Shadows attacked an airstrip controlled by the government of San Revilla, killing both troops and refugees attempting to flee the country on a Red Cross flight. Striker punched freelance photographer Luke Bergier and his fiancée Cindy through the wall of a hanger, killing her instantly.

(Force Works#12/2)- The Shadows attacked a government fuel store at Vitidos, concealed by Sundance’s power. When War Machine intervened, Striker struck him down from behind. Sundance asked him who they were facing, but Striker also had no idea who War Machine was. Attacking his downed opponent, he telegraphed his next punch by announcing it, enabling War Machine to roll out of the way, knock him back with a burst of rubber bullets, and knock him down with an uppercut.

(War Machine#15/2)- As War Machine confronted Hawkeye, Striker recovered, and punched him in the back again, damaging his backpack’s weapon delivery system and sending him falling into a stack of oil drums. War Machine bounced back at Striker, human-torpedo style, taking him off his feet, and punching him to the ground a second time. Hawkeye aborted The Shadows’ mission, and Striker escaped with the others.

Striker took part in The Shadows next mission, an attack on Preto Airstrip, and angrily leapt at War Machine when he attacked them, only to be dismissively slapped down.

(Iron Man#317/2)- As US Agent ordered the San Revillan government forces to withdraw from the battle, Striker punched him in the back. US Agent turned, blocking Striker’s next blow with his photon shield, then fired the photon shield at Striker, blasting him away.

Striker recovered in time to see his leader, Hawkeye, was talking with War Machine and US Agent. Enraged and believing Hawkeye to have gone crazy, he slammed his fists into the ground, sending rocks flying at the three heroes. An explosive arrow fired by Hawkeye knocked him unconscious.
