Powers/Abilities: Elmo was very strong, he was trained at athlete level.

Elmo - head shotHistory: (Werewolf by Night I#7 (fb)) - Elmo met Swami Rihva who promised him a part of the treasure of Kaman-Ru if the giant would give up a small amount of his blood to "read" the Blood Stone. Elmo accepted, but the Blood Stone of Kaman-Ru didn't revealed the map of the treasure. Elmo and the other allies of Rihva continued their search to find the right blood. One day Swami Rihva, Elmo, and the other followers joined to the Circus, accordingly with Calliope, for the search of the blood a supernatural being to aid in the search for the treasure of Kaman-Ru.

(Werewolf by Night I#6) - The Carnival set up in Los Angeles, Swami Rihva captured Jack Russell, hypnotizing him.

Elmo and Mige attends the presentation of Jack to the troupeThe mystic presented Jack to the people of the Circus and entrusted Elmo and his friend Mige with Jack. They brought Jack to a cage. Although Jack was hypnotized, he didn't want to enter in the cage. Then Mige's anger drove him to whip Jack, but Elmo held the tamer back. Elmo then drew the cage into the tent to be shown as a Carnival's attraction. Elmo tried to become friend with Jack, and promised that he would have defended him.

Later, Elmo tried to stop the Werewolf, who was freed by Mige. The Werewolf had a brief struggle with Elmo and continued to pursue Mige.

 

 

Elmo - head shot(Werewolf by Night I#7) - Elmo saw that the Werewolf was attacked by the lions of Mige. Soon, he intervened and defended the Werewolf. He managed to hold a lion and immediately after Swami Rhiva entered in the tent and his powers tranquilized the beasts.

The day after, Elmo brought back Jack in his Cage, and told him the story of Swami Rihva and his followers. Elmo considered Jack as a friend.
That night, Swami Rihva prepared the rite for extraction of the blood of the Werewolf, the Carnival's troupe was present. Instead, Rihva tried to kill Werewolf and Elmo stopped him defending his friend. Mige, enraged, shot at the giant again and again, Elmo tried to stop the little one, catched him in a strong grip and broke his spine. The two friends died. The Werewolf freed himself and the Blood Stone was lost.

Every weight on the Elmo's barbell said "500" (lbs.? kilograms?), but I don't think it could be that heavy.
