History: (Avengers I#34 (fb) - BTS) - Lucy Barton was a friend of Janet Van Dyne once, and had attended her coming-out party. Lucy dated a young scientist named Arthur Parks for a time, but eventually broke it off to become engaged to another man whose father was the owner of a bank. Arthur accused her of marrying the other man because of his money.
(Avengers I#34) - After her future father-in-law's bank was robbed by the Living Laser, Lucy came by the bank, and found the Avengers investigating the scene. She was reunited with Janet Van Dyne, now the Wasp, whom she hadn't seen since the coming out party. When Lucy noticed Arthur Parks amongst the crowds, she told the Wasp about their past. However, when Arthur saw the Wasp, he immediately forgot about Lucy and fell in love with the winged Avenger instead.
(Avengers I#35) - After the Wasp had been captured by Parks as the Living Laser and then rescued by her fellow Avengers, she returned to New York to tell Lucy what had become of Arthur, who had been placed under the care of a doctor.
(Iron Man: The Inevitable#2 (fb) - BTS) - Lucy married her fiance.
