History:
(Spider-Man: Shattered
Dimensions video game (fb) - BTS) - Adrian Toomes was born in
an unrevealed location, a citizen of the United States. Growing up
without receiving any formal schooling, Toomes became a circus performer
under the name of the Vulture, though it was publicly known that Toomes
was the Vulture. The Vulture soon became the second-biggest geek in the
carnival freakshow circuit. He performed twice a day but was treated
worse than an animal, eventually growing to hate the humans who laughed
at him. Once freed of the carnival life, the Vulture began to
cannibalistically eat people, earning himself a criminal record, and he
was soon hired by the crimelord Goblin (Norman Osborn). After
Ben Parker became a known agitator of the Goblin's mob, the Goblin
ordered the Vulture and his other Enforcers to make
Ben Parker silent in the most lethal of ways. When the Vulture ate Ben
Parker alive, the vigilante Spider-Man seemingly killed the Vulture in a
fit of rage. Somehow surviving his gunshot wounds
despite a regretful Spider-Man believing him dead by his own hands, the
Vulture mysteriously resurfaced months later alongside the Goblin.
(Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions video game) - After the Spider-Man of Earth-10955 shattered the Tablet of Order and Chaos during a fight with Mysterio, some fragments of the Tablet were scattered to Earth-42949, where the Goblin discovered their power and decided to collect them. After first ordering Hammerhead to get one of them, only to see Hammerhead defeated by Spider-Man, Osborn next ordered the Vulture to acquire a second fragment.
Enlisting the help of Osborn's
bandits, the Vulture successfully acquired the Tablet fragment but he
was pursued by Spider-Man. All of the bandits noticed that Toomes was
really afraid of Spider-Man, who soon defeated the bandits and caught up
to the Vulture, winning the battle against Toomes by taking advantage of
his hatred of bright light. Despite this defeat, the Vulture managed to
throw Spider-Man towards the railways. After trying to force Spider-Man
to give up by taking hostages and burning a building filled with
civilians, Vulture decided to use the fragment's power, as Hammerhead
had also done, with aspirations to become a crimelord himself upon
Spider-Man's defeat. Gaining the power of teleportation from the
fragment, the Vulture became more powerful but he was defeated by
Spider-Man nonetheless.
