History:
(Wild Thing I#4 (fb) - BTS) - Early in the 21st century TraskTech's entertainment market share dropped and TraskTech started developing VR simulators for the military. Unfortunately problems with the VR systems, so-called "synchronization" caused users to die in cyberspace, which destroyed all hope to do business with the military because nobody wanted to risk the lives of soldiers during training.

Dorian Trask apparently started dealing TraskTech's technology to the illegal entertainment market.

When the police's Arcade division discovered TraskTech's logo in a warped VR program they sent Wild Thing into the global Com-Net to infiltrate TraskTech. She succeeded to access TraskTech's satellite and looked through the data on TraskTech's history until she was stopped by a VR Sentinel construct, which she destroyed before swiftly exiting.

(Wild Thing I#4) - TraskTech CEO Dorian Trask was showed a faithful, holographic recreation of the incident. He was assured Wild Thing was unable to download any compromising files, which could've meant trouble for Trask. She did catch the interest of Dorian Trask, who was sure that whatever allowed her to move through cyberspace that easily was worth billions to whoever chose to exploit it.

(Wild Thing I#7 (fb) - BTS) - Dorian Trask planned to use Wild Thing to infiltrate the database of Arcade and other organizations. He hired Doyle's former friend Crane, who was angry at Doyle for causing another friends death, to lure Doyle into a virtual trap created by Trask.

(Wild Thing I#7) - Dorian Trask watched Crane lead Wild Thing through his electronic swamp until fell into the morass. He had Crane taken out of the program because he wasn't needed anymore and then contacted her. He revealed that she would be unable to synchronize with the program and escape because it was in constant flux. He then made Wild Thing an offer to work for him and when she didn't want to tell her that he could alternatively just remove her mind from her body and transfer it to a device to access her abilities, which would kill her body. She didn't give in.

When Arcade's Liddel went into cyberspace to safe Wild Thing, Trask had all opposition removed to allow him to reach her only to capture Liddel while he tried to pull her out of the virtual morass. Dorian threatened to kill Liddel if Wild Thing wouldn't start working for him. In the real world Arcade's Trout prepared to enter cyberspace to save Liddel and Wild Thing.

Wild Thing was cancelled after #7 and the end of the story was never published. She presumably got saved because she did turn up again. Check Nikki's own profile. The fate of Dorian Trask and his company remains a mystery.

This profile was completed on 10/21/2022, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th anniversary's celebratory event.
