History: (X-Force VII#5 (fb) - BTS) - In Reality-25175, the third planet from the Sun was called Keb and was unified under a global empire ruled by Empress Ishtar. Tempest was the leader of the Avengers, the Empress' hands of justice. She was courted by Forge, who pledged his love to Tufani but abandoned her and ran away after he gave her a child. Many months later, the "Golden Giant" (Nuklo of reality-616) appeared on Keb, causing worldwide cataclysms. The Avengers tracked the intruder to the Nexus of All Realities, where they saw him shatter the Nexus' guardian, the counterpart of Man-Thing. Unbeknownst to them, this transported the Avengers to the same spot on Earth in Reality-616.
(X-Force VII#4) - The Avengers saw Reality-616 X-Force and ordered them to stand down, believing them to be intrduders in league with the Golden Giant.
(X-Force VII#5) - Fenris asked Tempest about their
next move, and enraged by the sight of Forge she ordered the Avengers
to attack. Tufani hit Forge with a lightning bolt and shouted her
grievances at him, but Forge hit Tempest with a pulse that knocked her
out.
The Avengers and the X-Force ceased
fighting, and Captain Assyria
explained their situation and from whence they came. The Golden Giant
appeared and attacked Reality-616's Man-Thing; the Avengers and the
X-Force charged him, but Nuklo disappeared again before they could
reach him.
Forge and Sage calculated that Nulko was heading for Ungava Bay, Canada to open another Nexus point, and Horus teleported both teams there. As Nuklo was vulnerable to electricity, Forge assigned himself, Sage, Surge, Iron Knight and Tempest to hit Nuklo with maximum power, but they were too late, as Nuklo had already opened another Nexus point and significantly increased in size and power. Undeterred, Tempest ordered the Iron Knight to accompany her and flew directly at Nuklo, despite the protests of others. Before she could coordinate a strike, Nuklo hit Iron Knight and Tempest with an energy blast from his mouth, obliterating both.
(X-Force VII#5 - BTS) - Nuklo was eventually defeated and apparently killed by the sacrifice of Surge. With his death, the Nexus point was closed, and the surviving Avengers of Keb were returned to their home reality.
Comments: Created by Geoffrey Thorne and Marcus To.In a blog post published on his Patreon, Geoffrey Thorne has confirmed that Tempest and her fellow Avengers come from a reality inspired by, but distinct from Earth-9105.
Tufani's physical characteristics are taken from her reality-616 counterpart.
