Powers/Abilities: Hamilton Hart had the parability to levitate while he was meditating. He could generate a psychic influence over other people's minds that would cause them to "bliss out," becoming extremely pacified, evidently by affecting their nervous system's pleasure center. The effects of Hart's parability ceased when Hart was unconscious.

History:

(D.P.7 I#27 (fb) - BTS) - Hamilton Hart discovered he was a paranormal following the White Event (July 22, 1986). At some point after the draft was reinstated in early 1988, Hamilton was drafted into the U.S. Army. Because he was a paranormal, he was assigned to the Paranormal Platoon at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he received the nickname "Swami." Because of his peaceful, pacifistic nature and the way his parability "pacified" other people, Hart was considered a problem by the Army and they placed him in their stockade at Lawrence Rochefort Dentention Facility, alongside Dave Landers and Darrell Schissel (alias Dirtbag).

(D.P.7 I#27) - Hamilton was meditating and hovering in his cell when Colonel Meyers entered the cellblock to confront Landers, Hart and Schissel. When Meyers' MP Boaz attempted to rouse Hart, Hart's parability activated and Boaz started to "bliss out." Colonel Meyers took a gun and fired a tranquilizer dart at Hart, knocking him out and halting his parability's effects.

    Colonel Meyers offered to drop all criminal charges against Hart, Landers and Schissel by sending them in search of a civilian scientific research team from the Smithsonian Institute who had gone missing while exploring the area of the Pitt. Colonel Meyers had the three men transported by helicopter to the Pitt, with Meyers' guard Tollifson charged with making certain Hart didn't use his parability on the helicopter crew mid-flight. Meyers supplied the three men with enough food for five days and set them down nearby the volcano that had begun growing in the center of the Pitt where Pittsburgh had once stood. Meyers told them if didn't find the scientists in five days, they would airdrop more food but the men wouldn't be picked up until the mission was completed.

    Once the helicopter left, Landers and Schissel began to argue about the assignment as Schissel doubted whether there even was a missing science team. Schissel theorized the Army wanted all three of them dead and resolved he'd attempt to climb up the side of the Pitt, then flee the country. When Hart heard his reasoning, he concluded that if what Schissel said was true then there no point in even trying to escape the Pitt. Hart decided that rather than escape the Pitt, he would simply sit, meditate and "blow my mind" until the end. Hart offered to let Landers join him but Landers refused. Hart attempted to use his parability on Landers to bliss him out but discovered Landers' mind was immune to him (due to a mental block placed by the ESPeople). Landers hoped to convince Schissel to return to the mission and left to find him.

    Once Landers had left, Schissel doubled back and ambushed Hart, using his parability to force dirt particles down Hart's throat until he asphyxiated. Schissel claimed Hart's supply of food to assist him in his escape plan.
