(Web of Spider-Man II#6/2 (fb)) - As a police lieutenant, Marcus Stone served as the leader of Code: Blue, an elite police team which included Daniel "Fireworks" Fielstein, Julius "Mad-Dog" Rassitano, Samuel "Mother" Majowski and Margarita "Rigger" Ruiz.

(Darkdevil I#1 (fb) - BTS) - At one point in his career with Code: Blue, Marc met Peter Parker, a photojournalist with the Daily Bugle newspaper.

(Darkdevil I#1 (fb) - BTS) - Marc retired from the NYPD as a captain, then campaigned to become mayor of New York City and set up his campaign headquarters inside an abandoned church, although his advisors told him it sent "the wrong message." Marcus' opponent in the election was Glynis O'Neil.

(Darkdevil I#1) - At a political rally, Marc's former subordinate Margarita Ruiz - who was now a police precinct captain - introduced her forensic scientist Peter Parker to Marc. Peter reminded Marc of their earlier encounter and Marc remembered him, thrown off as Peter was now wearing a beard. Marc had to cut the greeting short because he had a meeting with Miller Mackenzie, who was organizing the debate between Stone and O'Neil.

(Darkdevil I#2) - Marcus met Glynis O'Neil at the venue where they were scheduled for the mayoral debate. Both cordially asked the other to address them by their first name.

(Darkdevil I#3) - A TV report on Marc's campaign summed him up as concentrating on urban renewal and the need to restructure New York City bureaucracy. As the debate began, Stone insisted that although O'Neil was focused on anti-crime measures, as a former police captain he was by no means soft on crime. When O'Neil claimed it was pointless to renovate schools in the midst of possible violence, Stone countered a child was more liable to be injured "by a deteriorating structure than a fellow student." Unknown to Stone, O'Neil was conspiring with the Kingpin of Crime, who had hired the Brotherhood of Scriers to make a staged attempt on her life at the debate, believing when she survived the attack it would enable her to defeat Stone at the polls. The fake assassin was stopped by Kaine and Darkdevil slew one of the Scriers, setting off a nearby explosion which caused Stone to quip, "I warned you the city was crumbling around us." Subsequently, Kaine forced the assassin to admit the staged attempted assassination, destroying O'Neil's reputation. Marc won the election and became the new mayor of New York City.

    This is the MC2 version of the Earth-616 Marc Stone; most of the 616's version's past is shared by the MC2 version.

    The story in Web of Spider-Man II#6/2 was originally released as a digital comic.

    All of the new supporting characters in Darkdevil were named for Daredevil creators from Frank Miller's tenure (Miller Mackenzie = Frank Miller + Roger McKenzie; Glynis O'Neil = Glynis Wein + Denny O'Neil; Mr. Janson = Klaus Janson).

    This profile was completed on 06/09/2026 but its publication was delayed, as it was intended for the Appendix's 25th anniversary celebratory event.
