Real Name: Unrevealed
Identity/Class: Alternate
reality (Earth-200111/"MAX") human
Occupation: Assassin
Group Membership: None

(Mike Trace), Janie & Nate McBride, Punisher (Frank Castle), Rosalyn
Snert;

Powers/Abilities: Sickle Moon has a frequent
hacking cough of uncertain significance.
He wields sickle-like hand weapons that
are extremely sharp able to easily slice through human flesh and bone,
cutting through both legs of an adult male with a single slash. He can
also throw his blades some distance with great accuracy and
effectiveness.
He wears eyeglasses, but his specific
vision deficit is unrevealed.
His small, unassuming appearance and
hacking cough tended to cause others to dismiss him as no threat.
However, he can strike swiftly and
suddenly with his blade weapons, avoiding gunfire and taking out
multiple armed opponents in seconds.
After losing his left arm, he used a
prosthetic arm, which he could use with enough proficiency to kill a
cat.
While he only works when getting paid
(and killing his employer will cause him to abandon a job), he has rage
issues and is more than willing to people who annoy him sufficiently
enough. His rage issues can cause him to kill his own pet cat.

History:
(Foolkiller II#3 - BTS) - When the Foolkiller
threatened Mr. Cheese's TWO-IN-THE-BUSH-DOT-COM sports gambling house,
after they had killed the wife and younger daughter of Nae McBride, Mr.
Cheese put in a call to Sickle Moon.
(Foolkiller II#4) - En route from JFK to
Los Angeles (presumably LAX), Sickle Moon instructed a big guy loading his
baggage not to touch his bag, leading the man to curse him out as their
bags looked alike. After the man put his seat back into him, Sickle Moon
started hacking and coughing, and the man told him to shut his rattle or
he would tape his mouth shut. As they were de-planing, Sickle Moon again
told the man not to touch his bag, and the man grabbed his bag and shoved
it into chest. As they were getting their luggage from baggage claim,
Sickle Moon stabbed the guy in the back/side, telling him he had said not
to touch his bag and presumably leaving him to bleed out. Taking a cab, he
contacted Mr. Cheese and told him he was there.
(Foolkiller II#5 (fb) - BTS) -
Appreciating that someone was coming for his surviving older daughter,
Janie, Nate McBride carried her out of her hospital room and onto the
ledge above.
Sent to kill Nate McBride's older daughter, Janie,
Sickle Moon entered the cardiac ward, using his sickle blade to slash the
throat of a policeman who tried to stop him. He then encountered four
other police officers, suddenly slicing the leg off of one and hurling his
blade into the forehead of another who went for his gun. As the two other
officers fired at him, he dove to the ground, sliding past them and
slicing through their legs with a single sweep of each hand. Leaving the
police in shock and agony, he cleaned his glasses and entered Janie's
room. Finding her missing and the window open, Sickle Moon laughed to
himself, which led to more coughing and hacking.
(Foolkiller II#5) - Sickle Moon
conceded that Foolkiller was beginning to prove a nuisance, but he figured
that Foolkiller would come back, and he would be waiting.
(Foolkiller II#5 - BTS) - Police
inspected the hospital slaughter, and they found one of Sickle Moon's
blades.
Knowing Sickle Moon was all about collecting payment,
Foolkiller resolved that if he took out the Cheese, Sickle Moon would stop
trying to kill Janie. He thus arranged for Nate to act as bait to draw
Sickle Moon away from the Cheese so that he could finish off the Cheese.
(Foolkiller II#5) - Seeing Nate
leave the hospital and get in his car, Sickle Moon followed him by taxi.
He subsequently followed Nate into an abandoned building, and when Nate
pulled his gun from above, Sickle swiftly turned and hurled a blade into
his left shoulder.
Narrowly evading a bullet, Sickle threw another blade
through Nate's right hand, pinning it to the wall. Just then, Foolkiller
sent Nate a text showing the Cheese's corpse. Sickle shoved the blade in
Nate's hand through his head, killing him, but he nonetheless abandoned
his mission, noting how he hated travel.
(Foolkiller II#5 - BTS) -
Foolkiller brought Nate to the hospital so his heart could be transplanted
into her, and he supplied enough cash to pay for the surgery in full.
(Foolkiller II#5) - Returning
via plane to JFK, Sickle Man told another passenger not to touch his bag.
(Foolkiller: White Angels#3) - When Foolkiller and
the Punisher targeted the White Angels, their leader, Bootleg Jack called
Sickle Moon and called him out to Los Angeles for a job. Sickle Moon
inquired whether it was the usual fee.
(Foolkiller: White Angels#4) - As his plane departed for Los
Angeles, he was seated next to the large woman Rosalyn Snert, who talked
incessantly, knocked over a drink on him, smashed him when she when she
got up and noted that she would have to get up every twenty minutes or so.
After the pilot announced that a headwind would
lengthen the flight by another hour, Sickle Moon followed Rosalyn to the
bathroom and drowned her in the toilet before returning to his seat
undetected. Rosalyn was suspected of having had a heart attack.
In his hotel, Sickle Moon did two push-ups while
hacking and then commented that he hated exercise. When he got the text
that the Punisher was his target, he started laughing and hacking.
After the Punisher had killed Brother Sound and
Foolkiller was preparing to freeze him with liquid nitrogen, Sickle Moon
looked in through a window. He failed to see Foolkiller in the shadows
(although Foolkiller saw him), but he appreciated that the lack of
Foolkiller's signature tarot card and/or a posing of the body to indicate
that the Punisher had done the killing. Further appreciating that the
blood was still wet, Sickle Moon observed the Punisher as he departed
across a bridge and nailed him in the back with one of his blades.
As the Punisher pulled the blade out, Sickle Moon
nailed him with two more blades and then approached him. Dodging as the
Punisher threw one of his blades back at him, Sickle Moon stabbed his
abdomen with another blade but then the Punisher punched him back.
While the Punisher pulled out that blade and kneeled on
the ground, Sickle Moon approached with a blade in each raised arm. The
Punisher called him a fool, just before Foolkiller sliced off his left arm
with his sword. Clutching his bleeding arm, Sickle Moon fell over the edge
of the bridge and into the water below.

(Foolkiller: White Angels#5) -
Returning to New York, Sickle Moon obtained a prosthetic arm. While
plotting to get revenge against Foolkiller, he killed his pet cat and used
the blood to draw a "fool" symbol on the wall
Comments: Created
by Gregg Hurwitz and Lan Medina.
Sickle Moon is an
interesting character. When first seen, it is easy to assume that he is
the big guy who loses his patience with the little guy. It's not until
Sickle Moon stabs the big guy in the baggage claim that it is clear that
Sickle Moon was the little guy.
Thanks to Loki for
suggesting Sickle Moon to cover the Foolkiller spot.
