History:
(Chuck Norris#1 (fb) - BTS) - Miss
Reynolds was a teacher at an unidentified school.
(Chuck Norris#1 (fb) - BTS) - One of her students was a young man identified only as Too Much, who was both the ward of Chuck Norris as well as the junior member of Chuck Norris' Karate Kommandos. At the parent-teacher conference, Miss Reynolds first met Chuck, who assured her that Too Much's school work was more important than his belonging to the Karate Kommandos.
(Chuck Norris#1 (fb) - BTS) - Chuck Norris was hired by the US government as a consultant to develop an anti-terrorism vehicle known as the Super-Cruiser. Via his connection to Chuck Norris, Too Much was able to facilitate his school class (taught by Miss Reynolds)'s attendance via a field trip of the the International Anti-Terrorism Conference.
(Chuck Norris#1 (fb) - BTS) - Miss
Reynolds assigned her class to read James Clavell's "The Children's
Story."
(Chuck Norris#1) - As Miss Reynolds discussed the Super-Cruiser with the class, Too Much daydreamed about battling the Super-Ninja. When Miss Reynolds called on him and he failed to respond, the other students laughed at him. When Too Much realized what was happening, she told him that she would hate to tell Chuck that he was having trouble paying attention in class. After Too Much promised her that he would pay attention, Miss Reynolds finished telling the class about the Super-Cruiser.
Miss Reynolds next moved on to discuss their book reports. As she discussed the story, she noticed Too Much talking to another boy, and so she called on him to share what he had gotten out of the reading assignment. Having not yet read the book, Too Much hoped for some diversion, which came true in the undesired form of the Cult of the Klaw bursting into the room, shattering several windows in the process, and taking the classroom hostage. Miss Reynolds briefly argued that these were innocent children, but when the Cultists warned that anyone trying to resist or escape would be shot, Miss Reynolds replied that they would not resist.
Aware of Too Much's association with Chuck Norris, the Cult hoped to use the hostages to force the US government to turn over the Super-Cruiser to them. Miss Reynolds stood silently as the Super-Ninja advised Ninja One that if the government refused, they were to eliminate Too Much.
(Chuck Norris#1 - BTS) - Learning of
the situation, Chuck Norris gathered his Karate Kommandos and informed
them the government had agreed to allow them the first chance at
resolving the situation.
(Chuck Norris#1) - After Too Much told the Cultists that they would never get away with this, one of the Cultists shoved him by the face, and Miss Reynolds yelled to leave him alone.
Soon thereafter, the Super-Cruiser's arrival drew the
Cultist's attention. When Karate Kommando Pepper, who had driven the
Super-Cruiser, attacked them along with her pet dog Wolf, a Cultist still
in the classroom prepared to shoot her, but Too Much distracted him by
throwing a chalk-dust filled eraser into his face. Before the Cultist
could retaliate, Chuck Norris arrived and confronted them, soon followed
by other Karate Kommandos including Kimo and Reed.
Drawing the Cultists' attention, Chuck instructed Miss
Reynolds to take the students and leave the room. However, as she did,
another Cultist confronted them at gunpoint and instructed them that they
were not going anywhere. The final Kommandos member, the sumo Tabe, came
to their rescue, picking up that Cultist and hurling him into another.
While Chuck battled multiple Cultists, Too Much helped, throwing various objects at and tripping the Cultists. However, worried about Too Much, Miss Reynolds returned to the room and was taken hostage again by the Cultists. With her life threatened, Chuck told the other Kommandos to stand down, but he then kicked a copy of "The Children's Story" at the Cultist holding Miss Reynolds hostage, distracting him so that Chuck could then punch him out.
After the remaining Cultists had fled,
Miss Reynolds agreed to Kimo's request to borrow and read "The Children's Story," of which his teammates had spoken
highly, and Too Much resolved to read it and be ready for the next
discussion
Carlos
Ray "Chuck" Norris (March
10,
1940 – March 19, 2026) was a legendary American martial artist,
actor, screenwriter, and author. He held black
belts in karate, taekwondo, Tang Soo
Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo. After serving in
the United States Air Force, he won numerous martial arts
championships and later founded his own discipline, Chun Kuk Do.
Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos is an American animated television series from the 1980s. It originally aired in 1986 as a syndicated five episode mini-series. It was created by and starred Chuck Norris as himself, and produced by Ruby-Spears Productions. This fictionalized version of Norris is a United States government operative with a team of "radically diverse" warriors. The team includes Pepper, a technology expert and mechanic; Reed, Chuck's young apprentice and Pepper's brother; Kemo, a samurai; Tabe, a sumo champion; and Too Much, a young ward. Together, they fight against The Claw and his right-hand man, Super Ninja.
The Chuck Norris comic was based on the Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos TV series, and the characters were trademarks of Ruby-Spears Enterprises. While the cover title said "Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos," the indicia just said "Chuck Norris."
I only read the first two issues of
the comic series, and I don't think I've ever seen the cartoon, but I
don't see any reason that the stories couldn't have taken place at the
time of publication circa 1987, as Marvel's sliding timescale makes that
about 24 years (at the time of the
profile's 2026 publication, and adding a year as each year passes)
before the space flight that empowered the Fantastic Four. I don't know if
the cartoon is the same continuity as the comic or not. It's apparently
mostly the same characters.
Miss Reynold's students looked like
they could be in elementary school (perhaps 5th grade).
This profile was

its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th
anniversary 's celebratory event to represent Chuck Norris' stories and
characters.
