History:
(Fantastic Four: Season One
(fb)) - Namor was a prince of Atlantis and grew up in his undersea
homeland.
On land, Namor collided with the Human Torch (Jim
Hammond) and
considered him his greatest enemy. The outcome of the battle
is unrevealed. The adventures of Namor the Sub-Mariner were documented
in comic books that the child Johnny Storm was fond of.
Under
unrevealed circumstances, Namor subsequently lost his memory and went
to live in New
York under the name Macin, growing a beard and becoming one of the many
homeless of the city.
(Fantastic Four: Season One) - Macin was in the lane when sad Ben
Grimm passed by and, seeing a real stone man, was surprised.
Later, Macin was in the crowd during a press
conference in which the
heroic Fantastic Four debuted. Upon hearing the superhero alias of
the Human Torch (Johnny Storm), Macin's memories slowly began to
return. Suddenly
remembering his skirmish with the original Human Torch many years ago,
Macin thought that his old adversary and Johnny Storm were one and the
same.
Macin
wandered Clinton Castle, recalling his past. While standing at the
fence and
looking at Hudson River, he remembered that he was the Prince of
Atlantis. An old man acquaintance passing by thought that Macin was
going to commit suicide by jumping
into the water until Macin called out his real name of Namor and dove into
water, heading towards Atlantis.
In
a short span of time, Namor reached Atlantis but found only ruins. He
was furious and decided to bring his anger down on the people who
could have potentially lead to the death of the once beautiful
underwater
nation. Floating to the surface, Namor pounced on the first person he
came across, a businessman named Harold Alder, and aggressively asked
what humanity had done to
Atlantis. Passersbys,
having heard the mention of Atlantis, directed the Sub-Mariner to the
American Museum of Natural History, where was an exhibition
inspired by his homeland was on display. Namor subsequently entered the
museum and perplexed
visitors with his appearance. Looking around, he saw the Horn of
Proteus (also called the Trumpet of Glaucus) and broke the showcase,
drawing the Fantastic Four's awareness to his presence.
Using the Horn of Proteus, Sub-Mariner called on the
monstrous Leviathan. The Invisible
Girl (Sue Storm) and Human Torch (Johnny Storm) attempted to stop him
but Namor looked at
Sue and decided to spare and marry her. However, he did not intend
to show mercy to Johnny and attacked him. The Invisible Girl surrounded
them with an invisible field, and Human Torch used his power's full
potential to destroy all of the oxygen in the force field, weakening
himself, but Namor received no damage. During the attack, the Human
Torch's flames burned off Namor's beard. Realizing that Johnny was
suffocating inside the
field, Sue removed it and was attacked by the Sub-Mariner. Destroying
the Fantasticar, the Prince of Atlantis then flew away, telling Sue
that he
could make her his queen.
Mister
Fantastic (Reed Richards) flew to meet with Namor in the Fantasticar.
The superhero
promised to help the Prince if Namor the Sub-Mariner revealed where
Human Torch and Invisible
Girl were being held. He replied that the Storms were dead, angering
Richards.
The ensuing fight was interrupted by the appearance of the still-living
Sue and
Johnny. From Mister Fantastic, the two learned that the
Leviathan, whom Namor had again summoned, was attacking the city.
Mister Fantastic stated
that Namor needed to remain alive because only he knew how to stop the
Leviathan attacking New York. The Prince of Atlantis, however,
refused to help, saying that it was impossible to stop the underwater
monster. However, the Invisible Girl provided the Horn of Proteus,
which
she had found underwater and, with the help of the Horn, the superheroes
recalled
the Leviathan back to the depths of the ocean. Namor was captured.
Namor
was placed in a large container in the laboratory of the Fantastic
Four. He said he would break out sooner or later, but Sue Storm replied
that if he tried to escape, Reed's modernized glass surrounding the
detention center "would turn his brain into slurry." Namor looked
mockingly at Sue and claimed that she wanted him. Sue, praising the
appearance and figure of Namor the Sub-Mariner, called him a pig and
said
that she preferred Reed Richards.

While not revealed in Namor's only
appearance in the Season One reality, Namor's last name could be
McKenzie and he could potentially be an Atlantean/human hybrid mutant
like his Earth-616 counterpart.
