History:
(Venus I#12 (fb)) - Khorok was the sultan of the Middle East nation Cassarobia and ruled the nation as a dictator. Unknown to Khorok, Cassarobia was defended by the Norse god of evil Loki, who prevented other gods from using supernatural power within the nation's borders. Sultan Khorok took particular delight in inflicting pain on others, such as forcing women to drag him on his imperial carriage and in forcing men to fight wild animals in a gladiatorial arena. When the captain of his guard, Ali Bahr, came to Sultan Khorok to request permission to marry his lover Shalomar, Sultan Khorok refused the request, declaring he would take Shalomar as his own wife. Ali Bahr refused to surrender her to the sultan, so Khorok sentenced Ali Bahr to fight in the gladiatorial arena, declaring that once he was dead, he would take Shalomar as his wife. However, Ali Bahr proved a capable fighter and survived numerous bouts in the arena, frustrating Sultan Khorok's designs. While he waited for Ail Bahr's death, Sultan Khorok had his prime minister Shabor bring him other women to serve as his wife but he would kill each wife after growing tired of them.
(Venus I#12) - Still waiting for Ali Bahr's death, Sultan Khorok complained to Shabor that he hadn't brought him a new wife in over a month. Shabor showed the sultan the women Meona, Minervia, Oria, Rhova and Sahia, but Khorok petulently declared he was tired of them all and ordered they be fed to the tigers. Upset with Shabor, Khorok started to flog him with a whip but then noticed a copy of Beauty magazine which Shabor had brought in the hopes of amusing him. Seeing the alleged goddess Venus on the cover of Beauty, Khorok informed Shabor he wanted Venus to be his next bride.
Shabor took a jet to New York and soon returned with Venus, who willingly accompanied him to investigate what was going on in Cassarobia. When Shabor returned to Cassarobia with Venus, Khorok greeted them and informed Venus she would become his next wife, and had his carriage drawn by women bear them to his palace. Along the way to the palace, Venus could see Cassarobia was filled with poverty which the sultan had ignored. At the palace, Shalomar greeted Sultan Khorok and Venus and led them to the arena, where as a "festival" to honor Venus, the sultan had arranged for a gladiator match. Venus was disgusted with the bloodsport. Ali Bahr was among the gladiators and he once again survived, much to the sultan's irritation. Sultan Khorok turned Venus over to Shalomar to escort to her chambers and warned her if any harm fell upon Venus, she and Ali Bahr would both suffer as a result.
The next day, Sultan Khorok brought Venus back to the arena for another display of cruelty by ordering wild animals to be sent to kill men whom he claimed had plotted against his rule, among them Ali Bahr. However, Loki had been convinced by the Olympian god Zeus to intervene in order to spare Venus from the sultan. When the sultan's men released lions to kill the men in the arena, Loki sent demons into the lions which placed them under his control. The lions then spoke to Venus, telling her they would obey her commands, frightening Sultan Khorok. Sultan Khorok ordered his servants to activate flame torches beneath his seat at the arena, emitting flames to kill the lions. However, Loki had his brother Thor cause a rainstorm over the area, putting out the fire. Venus sent Shalomar to release Ali Bahr and the other prisoners and when Sultan Khorok called out for help he found the entire populace was against him and eager to see him overthrown. Ali Bahr took Sultan Khorok as a prisoner and intended to hold a trial for his actions, with the expected outcome being Sultan Khorok's execution. Venus nominated Ali Bahr to lead Cassarobia in place of the sultan.

The Loki and Thor in this story were pre-Lee/Kirby so didn't entirely resemble the characters we're familiar with.
