History:
(Official Marvel Index to Marvel Team-Up I#1 - BTS) - Ken and his friend were muggers.

(Marvel Team-Up I#4 (fb) - BTS) - When Ken and his friend once attempted to mug someone for money, Ken chickened out and couldn't go through with the act.

(Marvel Team-Up I#4) - Unaware that the living vampire Morbius was stalking the night in search of potential victims to feed on, Ken was present in an alleyway with his friend, who reminded Ken that they needed cash and both knew how to get it. Before either could take any action, Morbius silently swooped down and snatched up Ken but he unaware friend assumed Ken was simply being quiet because he was chickening out again. Asking if perhaps Ken had done just that, his friend followed up by questioning whether Ken was with him or not before turning around to see Morbius looming over Ken. Pausing in shock for only a moment, Ken's friend soon came to Ken's defense and lunged at Morbius with a knife but he was easily swatted aside by the living vampire before Morbius fed on the blood of Ken's friend.

Comments: Created by Gerry Conway, Gil Kane and Steve Mitchell.

In Ken and his friend's only appearance in Marvel Team-Up I#4, it was not outright stated that they were muggers though it was heavily implied. However, it was also stated that Ken had once chickened out and couldn't go through with the act and the story seemed to suggest that neither Ken nor his friend were all that skilled at mugging people and that they had only attempted it once before but stopped when Ken backed out. Marvel Team-Up I#4 does not show either of them actually mugging anyone though Ken's friend was certainly prepared to do so. The Official Marvel Index to Marvel Team-Up I#1 confirms that both Ken and his friend were indeed muggers despite Marvel Team-Up I#4 making it seem as if they had not successfully mugged anyone prior to that issue. Therefore, I suppose Ken and his friend, per the Marvel Index, had indeed at least successfully mugged someone before but perhaps Ken had chickened out during their last attempted mugging prior to Marvel Team-Up I#4.

We never actually see Morbius feed on Ken. It is shown that Morbius fed on the blood of Ken's friend but Ken could have escaped in the chaos surrounding Morbius swatting aside then feeding on his friend. The Official Marvel Index to Marvel Team-Up I#4 does confirm that Ken was victimized by Morbius but there's no mention of Morbius actually feeding on Ken. We do see Morbius snatch up Ken but his friend comes to Ken's aid, only to be swatted aside by Morbius. Morbius then turns his attention towards Ken's friend and we see his friend scream. Ken's friend's scream draws the attention of the flying X-Man Angel and the X-Men subsequently arrive on the scene to see Morbius standing over Ken's friend, with Ken nowhere to be seen. It stands to reason that Ken himself, being the cowardly person he is, likely ran off into the night after being terrified by Morbius. In fact, we don't actually get confirmation that Morbius actually killed Ken's friend, only that he did drain some of the friend's blood to the point of at least unconsciousness. The X-Men arrived fairly quickly after hearing the friend's scream so Morbius likely didn't have time to drain enough of the friend's blood to actually kill him...though it does mention that Morbius had drained enough to satiate his thirst.

Despite Frank Mitchell being the only credited inker on Marvel Team-Up I#4, the Official Marvel Index to Marvel Team-Up I#4 confirms that Frank Giacoia and John Romita, Sr. also did some retouching of the inks on the first ten pages of the issue, though whether they had any hand in the creation of Ken or his pal remains unrevealed.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Ken
should be distinguished from:

Ken's pal

Ken's pal was a mugger like Ken himself but his friend was much more willing to commit the crime to acquire the money they sought. During one attempted mugging, Ken's friend became annoyed when Ken chickened out but when the duo eventually needed cash again, Ken's friend attempted to talk Ken into trying another mugging, unaware that the living vampire Morbius had swooped down to quietly snatch up Ken. After not hearing any response from Ken, his friend turned to see Morbius looming over Ken and following a brief moment of surprise, his friend lunged at Morbius with a knife in an effort to rescue Ken. Morbius easily swatted Ken's pal aside then turned his attention towards him, prompting Ken's pal to scream, alerting the Angel and his X-Men teammates to Morbius' location. By the time the X-Men arrived on the scene, Morbius had satiated his blood thirst by feeding on Ken's pal, who was motionless on the ground.
