(MCP#140/4, BTS) - Ken was hired to kill Taka, who was under FBI protection.

(MCP#140/4) - Ken and his crew of assassins landed in helicopters and headed to the cars of the FBI. As per his normal practice, he was listening to hardcore music while shooting at his targets. Iron Fist attacked him, but Ken was stronger and able to throw his opponent to the ground. He threw a knife at Agent Peck which stabbed the FBI man in his heart. Seconds later Iron Fist was back on his feet and kicked Ken to the ground. Ken retreated to the helicopter and tried to flee with it, but Iron Fist was able to hold onto it and gave it a kick in midair. Ken then crashed the helicopter on purpose, because his life wasn't worth anything anymore after he had failed to kill Taka.

Comments: Created by John Figueroa and Ron Wilson

I missed it at first, but the Agent Peck of this story was the same Agent Peck that popped up ten issues earlier in a story written by Figueroa. It seemed as if Dale Peck didn't survive his second appearance at the side of a super-hero. Information on his doings in this story can be found in his existing sub-profile in the entry of Jonas.

Clarifications:

Ken has no known connections to

Taka has no known connections to

Taka

Taka was a mobster from Japan who wanted to retire. The FBI gave him the chance to retire in the United States in return for all the information he possessed about organized crime. He wanted to give them the information, but he demanded Iron Fist as an additional protector. After his life was saved from Ken and his killers he explained to Iron Fist that he had cancer and would die slowly and painfully. In his opinion he deserved it for the life he led and didn't want to die quickly at the hands of an assassin like Ken.
