History:

(Tomb of Dracula I#37 (fb) - BTS) - Doctor Sun had his servant Juno undergo specialized training to prepare for his assigned battle against Dracula.

(Tomb of Dracula I#39 (fb) - BTS) - At Doctor Sun's command, Juno's left hand was amputated and replaced with a long silver stake intended for use against vampires.

(Tomb of Dracula I#38 (fb) - BTS) - Doctor Sun had Juno brought from China to Boston to serve as his champion to destroy Dracula.

(Tomb of Dracula I#37) - Arriving in Boston late at night, Juno went to Doctor Sun's brownstone, entering the villain's hidden lair by twisting the wooden base of a candle to open a concealed bookcase. He descended through the hidden passage to Sun's underground headquarters, where Sun told him that Dracula had reached Boston and Quincy Harker's vampire hunters were assembling. When Sun asked whether his training had prepared him sufficiently, Juno removed the glove concealing the silver stake in place of his left hand and defiantly declared himself ready for battle.

(Tomb of Dracula I#38) - Before sending him out, Doctor Sun had Juno study spy camera footage of his targets: the vampire hunters Quincy Harker, Rachel van Helsing and Frank Drake.

(Tomb of Dracula I#38 - BTS) - Doctor Sun used a holographic projection of Dracula to lure the vampire hunters to his brownstone.

(Tomb of Dracula I#38) - When Quincy Harker, Rachel van Helsing and Frank Drake entered the brownstone, the apparently blind resident disappeared in a cloud of smoke and Juno confronted them. Threatening the hunters with his silver stake, Juno ordered them to accompany him. He demonstrated his strength by carrying Harker in one arm and Harker's wheelchair in the other while leading all three down to Sun's laboratory, then ordered them to remain silent while Sun explained his plan to steal Dracula's powers and to supplant him as lord of the vampires. Juno was unable to prevent Harker from firing a barrage of explosive darts from his wheelchair that destroyed the machinery draining Dracula's power. When Juno moved to kill Harker, Frank Drake opposed him but he proved no match for the manservant. Juno threatened to kill all of them, but Sun ordered him to stand down: Juno's primary target was Dracula.

(Tomb of Dracula I#38 - BTS) - Sun told Juno where he could find Dracula and ordered him to return him to him.Armed with his silver stake and a sword, Juno went to Harold H. Harold's apartment where Dracula had taken refuge with Harold and his ladyfriend Aurora Rabinowitz.

(Tomb of Dracula I#38) - Wasting no time on niceties, Juno barged into Harold's apartment and demanded that Dracula accompany him or die. Dracula contemptuously rejected Juno's authority but agreed to meet Doctor Sun, allowing Juno to escort him to the underground laboratory. Juno stood beside the weakened vampire as Sun welcomed his enemy and told the captives that none of them would be permitted to leave.
(Tomb of Dracula I#39 - BTS) - Harold H. Harold and Aurora Rabinowitz decided to follow Juno and Dracula.

(Tomb of Dracula I#39) - At Doctor Sun's order, Juno stripped to his fighting costume and attacked Dracula. His first lunge cut the vampire's arm with the silver stake. Dracula avoided a second thrust, leaving the stake embedded in a wall, but Juno tore it free and used the silver points on his boots to slash Dracula's face. Juno repeatedly struck, kicked and knocked down his badly weakened opponent, while Dracula managed to counterattack and even briefly overpowered him. Around that time Harold and Aurora entered the laboratory while Juno and Dracula fought. Dracula paused when he recognized them, giving Juno the opening to drive his silver stake through the vampire's heart. As Dracula rapidly withered into a skeleton, Juno prevented Aurora from reaching the body and knocked Harold aside when he tried to intervene. Doctor Sun ordered Juno to use the flamethrower. Juno incinerated Dracula's remains until only ashes and scraps of clothing remained, then asked when he would be allowed to return to China. Sun promised that it would be soon and instructed Juno to confine the prisoners in a prepared room. He also had him place Dracula's ashes in an urn.

(Tomb of Dracula I#39 - BTS) - Juno and Doctor Sun monitored how Harold H. Harold and Aurora Rabinowitz helped the three vampire hunters escape the brownstone.

(Tomb of Dracula I#39) - Sun explained to Juno that their escape was all part of his plans: they were sure to return with the United States Army who he would then mentally control using the hypnotic powers he stole from Dracula.

(Tomb of Dracula I#40) - Juno remained at Doctor Sun's headquarters as United States Army troops approached the building. He watched how Sun used equipment to amplify Dracula's hypnosis, bringing the soldiers under his sway. Juno commented that the operation was proceeding well, while Sun prepared to turn the troops into the beginnings of his conquering army. Frank Drake, Rachel van Helsing and Harold H. Harold later returned through the headquarters' skylight to recover Dracula's ashes. When Frank incapacitated one of Sun's guards, Juno confronted the intruders and warned that they would become Doctor Sun's prisoners or die. While Juno concentrated on Frank, Rachel van Helsing fired her crossbow shot him in the back with her crossbow, killing him.

(Nova I#23 (fb) - BTS) - Doctor Sun decapitated Juno and used his brain as a decoy. Sun intended the heroes to believe they were watching his brain burn when they were actually watching Juno's.

(Tomb of Dracula I#42 - BTS) - Rachel, Frank and Quincy Harker discovered Juno's headless corpse while moving through Doctor Sun's headquarters. Rachel was horrified that someone had mutilated Juno after he was already dead. During Dracula's battle with Doctor Sun, the villain caused his own laboratory machinery to exploded, resulting in a raging fire that destroyed the now exposed brain Dracula and the others believed to be Sun's. They watched it get consumed by fire, now thinking the threat of Doctor Sun had ended.

Comments: Created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan.

Getting your hand replaced with a stake, now that is dedication to your job... Not sure why it had to be a silver one, that usually only works on werewolves. Speaking of Marv Wolfman, he never got around to revealing much about Juno's origins. Given Doctor Sun's love for technology, it seems likely he gave Juno some cybernetic enhancements. That would explain the extensive scarring on his face and body.

He's two neck bolts short from looking like an Asian Frankenstein... Even though 'Juno' is definitely not a typical Chinese name, so let's not automatically assume he was Chinese. The T'ai Yang organization was active in many (Asian) countries.
