Powers/Abilities: Michael had unspecified telekinetic powers, enabling him to lift multiple objects into the air at will. He could knock over a heavy desk or hurl a person through the air.
As a shadow, Michael did not age after reaching adulthood, and he apparently lived for at least centuries; however, once he and Christina had children, he began to age anew at the normal human rate.
Michael was a skilled painter,
and he could use his telekinetic powers to direct his brush to paint
from a distance.

History:
(Power Line#1 (fb) - BTS) - As one of the Shadows, Michael lived for an undisclosed time period (multiple periods of their lives together are pictured in Michael's paintings), unaging, until he and his wife, Christina, had children, starting with Barbara, at which point they began to age anew.
(Power Line#1 (fb) - BTS) - Michael's young son, Victor, always ran to the forest to play, even as Michael called to him to come back echoed across the plantation.
(Power Line#1 (fb)) - Michael explained to Victor how their people might live for millennia before bearing children, but when he found love, the choice would be easy; he assured Victor that immortality was nothing balanced against the joy Victor and Barbara had given him and Christina.
After Michael demonstrated his powers
and noted that their people had enjoyed some advantages over humanity,
Victor questioned the benefit of his weak force field, and Michael noted
that, at least, Victor was not bothered by mosquitoes. Telling Michael
to stop teasing their son, Christina gave Victor the World Wrestling
Association magazine featuring his uncle, Ripley "Ripper" Weaver.
Christina then informed Michael that Emmanuel (apparently in charge of
security) was at the front gate, and Emmanuel advised Michael that he
(Tyler Ravenscore) was there. 
When Michael instructed Emmanuel to escort Mr. Ravenscore up to the house, Barbara asked how he could agree to see "that pig." Barbara continued, noting the past relationship between their families, but Michael silenced her, noting that a feud was not the legacy he wished to leave his children.
Tyler complimented Michael on his decision, noting that children were so important and that he had admired Michael's portraits of his children on his way in.
After Michael noted they weren't there
for pleasantries, Tyler advised that their discussion was between them,
man to man. Michael countered that this was a family matter and that his
family would stay, and Tyler accepted this before noting that Dirk,
Tyler's son and the leader of the Ravenscore family, had decided
that the Ravenscore-Guillermos feud had gone on centuries too long and
that he was there because they wanted to see all the hatred and
bitterness done away with. 
Michael noted that the Raven scores' criminal interest and drug running were still of great concern to his family. When Barbara asked how Tyler expected to get their two families to see eye-to-eye, Tyler told her "By doing away with your family, of course" as he opened a portal allowing numerous powered and/or armed members of the Ravenscore family to enter the Guillermos villa.
Hitting the alarm on a panel, Michael alerted Emmanuel of the intruders and then blasted a desk back over on top of Tyler, wiping the grin off of his face, but it was too late. Christina, Barbara, and Emmanuel all fell before the Ravenscores.
Michael instructed Victor to get out of
there, and Victor told his father to come with him, so they could...but
he was cut off when Michael used his telekinetic power to hurl Victor
out of the villa and yelled "RUN!"
as a large and powerful shadow apparently struck and/or clawed him from
behind. 
(Power Line#1 (fb) - BTS) - Protected from a rough landing by his weak field, Victor ran as the plantation was engulfed in flames and he heard the sounds of cruel laughter and death.
