Grace is highly intelligent,
likely above average or even gifted to genius level human
intelligence;
the source of her advanced intelligence is unrevealed. Grace wore a voice collar that allowed her to speak fluently. Bonded to the Carnage and Anti-Venom symbiotes, Grace can form various tendrils and extensions. She is strong enough to tear a human body in half, and like other similarly-bonded symbiotes, she can swiftly restore her body, even when it (including her head) has been torn in half. Weight: Unrevealed (approximately 100 lbs.) Eyes: Brown Hair: Dark brown |

Dr. Steven sought to use
Anti-Venom cells to
control Carnage symbiote cells; he found that the only way to
ensure
they didn't kill each other was to immediately bond them both to
a host
to mediate. Wishing to let his subject get accustomed to the Carnage symbiote before administering the Anti-Venom, Dr. Steven and his associates deliberately chose the most aggressive primate they could fine in the hopes that it could survive these strains. Grace was bonded to Carnage
cells. She
subsequently either slew or incapacitated the other chimpanzees
with
whom she was housed. (Cult of Carnage: Misery#1) - As Dr. Steven showed Alchemax CEO Liz Allan into the lab, the Carnage-bonded Grace greeted the wheelchair-bound scientist with "Hello, Wheel Man." Dr. Steven asked Grace how she
was feeling, and she replied, "Hungry."
Dr.
Steven told her she might like the medicine he was giving her as
he
added the Anti-Venom symbiote cells to her chamber, but she
screamed in
agony and begged for help as the Anti-Venom cells attacked the
Carnage
symbiote cells. Dr. Steven subsequently explained to Liz that Grace was not sufficiently aggressive to tame the symbiote and had gotten lost between the Carnage strain and Anti-Venom. He asked Grace how she was feeling, and she could only answer, "Mis...Mis..." before losing consciousness. (Cult of Carnage: Misery#1 - BTS) - Dr. Steven speculated that if they could find a host strong enough, the two differing strains could theoretically be harmonious. The next day, when Corwin Jones assaulted the Alchemax facility and abducted the other symbiotes in their possession, the injured Liz merged with the Carnage symbiote-Anti-Venom combination, and she noted that it felt like Misery. (Cult of Carnage: Misery#2 (fb) - BTS) - Dr. Steven upgraded Grace's voice collar. (Cult of Carnage: Misery#2) - After Liz expressed that she had no idea how her symbiote worked, Grace, now merged with both Carnage and Anti-Venom symbiotes, rushed in -- screeching in primate syllables -- and tore Liz/Misery in half, leaving Liz to learn that she could repair her severed halves. Misery then tore Grace in half to see if it worked the same for her, and Grace restored herself as well. When Grace voiced, "Reconstitute your principal being all you want, my fair lady, but you will not cage me again," Liz questioned how her vocabulary had evolved so much from the day before. Grace replied, "My accomplishments are my own. Simply put, I'm a quick study." ![]() She continued, "I am life. And you pricked and prodded me nearly to death. My only solace? A sedative administered at your leisure." Misery noted Alchemax's good intentions and then began to batter Grace relentlessly, offering a more permanent mercy, Liz's step-son, Stanley cried out for her to stop, which she did. |
| As
Grace slept in a tree, Dr. Steven told Liz how he
had upgraded her voice collar. Liz acknowledged Grace's point that
it
was not fair to keep her imprisoned. Dr. Steven told her that they
could look into other arrangements once he had safely removed the
symbiotes from her. (Cult of Carnage: Misery#3 (fb) - BTS) - Hearing conversations in the lab, Grace deduced the spy within the Life Foundation, who had alerted Dr. Steven to Liz's location, to be Lily Hollister (aka Queen Cat). ![]() (Cult of Carnage: Misery#3) - Grace told Dr. Steven that she knew who was the spy within the Life Foundation. She told him that if he let her out of her confined environment, she could help, "Maybe then I won't have to cave in your skull for what you've done to me." (Cult of Carnage: Misery#5) - Quoting Alexander Dumas, the still symbiote-bonded Grace broke out of her habitat/confinement area and then wondered, "What's a chimpanzee to do?"
