History:
(
The Age of the Sentry#1 (fb) - BTS) - Gorax is an alien of unrevealed origin.

Under further unrevealed circumstances, Cranio, the Man with the Tri-Level Brain, separated Gorax's body from his brain and kept his brain in storage.

Presumably after defeating Cranio, the Sentry found Gorax's brain and brought it to Professor Hugo Cornelius, the man who had developed the serum that had empowered the Sentry.

(The Age of the Sentry#1) - When Rob Reynolds (the Sentry's civilian identity), alongside fellow Excelsior Encyclopedia investigator Lindy Lee, visited Professor Cornelius, he demonstrated his living gelatin that responded to brainwaves. Despite caution for Rob (and awareness that Rob was the Sentry), Cornelius took the unidentified brain the Sentry had brought him and placed it in the vat of living gelatin, intending for it to show the form of its original host.

The brain swiftly used all of the gelatin to form a version of its previous body, after which he sensed unlimited power coming from Reynolds. gorax-1611-confront-reynolds

Tearing off his civilian garb, Gorax exposed Reynolds as the Sentry, after which he noted how it was perfect that the source of his power was in his own mind, which would be simple for him to take with his siphoning sentience.

Having drained the Sentry and left him virtually comatose, Gorax left the building, swatting a car out his way and vowing to find and kill Cranio for separating his brain and body.

gorax-1611-punchoutbrain(The Age of the Sentry#1 - BTS) - Lindy used the Sentry's signal pendant to summon his sidekick, Scout, and their super-powered pet, Watchdog. After Professor Cornelius revealed that the only thing that could revive the Sentry was the serum that originally empowered him, Lindy joined Scout and Watchdog in using the Professor's time machine to go back to the moment after Sentry's empowerment and recover the tube containing the residual amount of the serum Reynolds had consumed. They then returned to the present and poured the residual serum into the Sentry's mouth.

(The Age of the Sentry#1) - Gorax smashed his way into Cranio's base, warning him that he would suffer for his meddling.

Cranio greeted Gorax, observing that he was regrowing his body thanks to the power of the Sentry. He told Gorax that he imagined that his vengeance would be quite painful indeed. However, according to his calculations...

"The revived Sentry will interrupt all that," which coincided with the Sentry's arriving and punching Gorax's brain out of his gelatin body, rendering him powerless and restoring the Sentry's power.

Holding Gorax's brain in one hand, the Sentry tried to capture Cranio, as well, but found him to be only an android replica, which noted that he was always three steps ahead of the Sentry.

(The Age of the Sentry#1 - BTS) - Professor Cornelius used his lethio-ray to remove Lindy's knowledge of the Sentry's secret identity from her mind while Scout noted that everybody knew "gals can't keep a secret."

Comments: Created by Jeff Parker and Nick Dragotta.

Gorax's true form was not actually observed, as Cranio confirmed that he was in the process of regrowing his body. Maybe his actual body was covered with hair, or he at least had hair on his head.

We don't know anything about Gorax's origins beyond his being alien and Cranio separating his body and brain...I'd love to see the back-story there.
