Powers/Abilities: Sanderson had the scientific genius to design a will-killing hypno-helmet.

    He wore this helmet in his super-villain identity to sap the will-power of his opponents, rendering them ineffective. However, this could be countered by sufficient positive motivation, such as a motivational audio-tape, especially in combination with a football helmet, which presumably helped block the effects of the spinning wheel.

History:
(Generic Comic Book#1 (fb) - BTS) - Sanderson was once a respected scientist, but even thereafter, presumably having fallen from grace/respect under unrevealed circumstances, he continued to pay his rent on time.

(Generic Comic Book#1 (fb) - BTS) - Sanderson designed his hypno-helmet. To test the efficacy of his hypno-helmet, Sanderson set off some fireworks in his apartment, expecting a confrontation with his landlord, Mr. Parker.

(Generic Comic Book#1 - BTS) - When the explosion blew off "another" hunk of plaster (presumably indicating that Sanderson had done this before), Mr. Parker considered this the last straw and rushed upstairs to throw him out on his ear, despite his previous history.

(Generic Comic Book#1) - Parker entered Sanderson's room, demanding to speak to him, but as soon as Sanderson turned to face him, his hypno-helmet caused Parker to lose all confidence, and he withheld any complaints and apologized for bothering him. Sanderson was pleased as his plan and technology had worked perfectly, transforming Parker into a "spineless wimp." Sanderson concluded that if the power would work on a hard-headed creep like Parker, it would work on anyone. Considering that he had created the perfect criminal weapon, Sanderson stated that the world would pay for ignoring his scientific genius, and he resolved to start exacting payment that night.

    Seeking to recruit some criminal henchmen, Sanderson observed an unidentified but costumed super-hero beating up a trio of the "sort of criminal cretins" he was looking for. After the hero had taken down the criminals and noted the matter to be finished, Sanderson confronted him, proclaiming, "That's what you think, jerk-face!" and then adding, "You've got a real fight on your hands, now!"generic_super-villain-masked-face

    Despite the hero's superhuman strength and durability, Sanderson's hypno-helmet completely eliminated the hero's confidence. While the hero imagined the powers this super-villain had and figured he had met his match, Sanderson pummeled him into unconsciousness. As the criminals revived, Sanderson pointed that without him, the hero would be handing him to the police and that they owed him.

(Generic Comic Book#1 (fb) - BTS) - Agreeing with this conclusion, the criminal accepted Sanderson as their leader.

(Generic Comic Book#1 (fb) - BTS) - The boss of the unidentified hero's day job in his civilian identity hired Sanderson to rob their office to cover up for his embezzlement.

(Generic Comic Book#1 (fb) - BTS) - Hoping to counteract the hypno-helmet's will-killing effects, the hero painted his old football helmet to match is costume and installed some a headset that he hooked up to his Walkman, into which he placed a tape repeating, "You can do it, you can beat this guy!"

(Generic Comic Book#1) - After Sanderson and his men robbed his place of business, the hero confronted them as they came down the fire escape. Expecting a similar victory, Sanderson ordered his men to attack, and he watched as the hero swiftly took them out. When the hero challenged him, Sanderson mockingly told him he wouldn't even be able to lay a finger on him, but he swiftly appreciated that the hero was no longer intimidated by him. Sanderson took a swing, which the hero dodged. Although losing his balance, the hero then kicked Sanderson in the abdomen, apparently knocking him into the wall and knocking him out. As the police arrived, the hero departed to avoid any further conflict.

(Generic Comic Book#1 (fb) - BTS) - Sanderson told the police that the business owner/manager had hired him to rob the business to cover up his embezzlement.

(Generic Comic Book#1 - BTS) - The next day at work, the police arrested the business owner/manager.
