History:

(Marvel Comics Presents I#30/3 (fb) - BTS) - Agent Five was a robot constructed as part of Project: Ultra-Tech, presumably under the direction of Mako. Taking the appearance of a human woman, she posed as a prostitute while actually working in surveillance.

(Marvel Comics Presents I#30/3) - After Coldblood-7 had broken out of Ultra-Tech's maze, he came upon Agent Five, who asked him if he had something on his mind.

Replying that he wanted privacy and a room, Coldblood -- who was drawn to the number seven, part of his programming as a joke because his real surname was "Savin" - chose the Lucky 7 hotel.

    Claiming
that the night manager of that establishment was a friend of hers, Agent Five told him that she might be able to help him if he would step out of the shadows so she could see who the room was for.

Feigning surprise at his cyborg nature, she commented that this could prove interesting. Having rented room seven for Coldblood, she jokingly called him "Darth Vader" and then opened the door for him at his request. Coldblood entered the room and then closed it behind himself, telling her to "Get Lost" and ignoring her protestation.

As she walked away, she muttered, "Coldblooded hardcased metal-faced creep."

(Marvel Comics Presents I#31/3) - After Agent Five reported to Mako and Schirmer that she had just left Coldblood in the Lucky 7 hotel, Make instructed her to stand by with open channel of his transmission. agent_five-mako-shot

Presumably per Mako's instruction, Agent Five then returned to room seven and hit the buzzer, greeting Coldblood as "Darth Vader" again.

When Coldblood replied that he had told her that he didn't want company, she countered that he had told an empty soulless "woman" but that -- as she ripped off her fake flesh, revealing her robotic face and the screen in place of her mouth and nose -- he had not told his creator.

As Coldblood recognized Mako on the screen, Mako told him that he couldn't leave Coldblood free with knowledge of him and his operations.

After Mako continued that Coldblood was too dangerous and potentially unstable, Coldblood added that he was also a living, walking military secret of the illegal kind and proof enough to bring Mako and his friends down forever.

Still speaking through Agent Five's face screen, Mako advised Coldblood that they possessed his lover, Gina Dyson, and that if Coldblood went to the government, military or press that Gina would die slowly and painfully.

Mako then told Coldblood to come back to home base and receive modifications and that Gina might be able to recover. When Mako demanded an answer, Coldblood used his handgun to destroy Agent Five's head.

(Marvel Comics Presents I#31/3 - BTS) - Mako told his agents that Coldblood had accepted the invitation and would be coming back for them.

Comments: Created by Doug Moench and Paul Gulacy.

It seemed to me that Agent Five's programming was such that she didn't know she was a robot, nor did she initially recognize Coldblood, instead acting as a woman of her apparent occupation might behave in a strange situation, encountering a cyborg.

Agent Five previously had a sub-profile under Mako, originally published 03/27/2005.

This profile was completed 07/05/2026, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th anniversary 's celebratory event to represent Coldblood's stories and characters.
