History:

(Krazy Komics I#16/1 (fb) - BTS) - Wierda roamed the world but for unrevealed reasons, became secluded in her castle and focused on old-fashioned witch techniques.

(Krazy Komics I#16/1) - In her castle, wicked Wierda the Witch boiled water in her old cauldron for a new brew, but became tired of the same old witch stuff, so she zapped her cauldron away and decided to go out into the world again to find two live victims to eat. She chanced upon Silly Seal and Ziggy Pig arguing over the existence of witches. Wierda grabbed Silly's book and hoped to find her name, but to no avail. Seeing the pair as her next meal, she cast a teleportation spell, but the suspicious Silly quickly escaped with Ziggy. Angry, she soon found them and zapped them to her castle. The petrified pair wouldn't cooperate with Wierda so she cast another spell to manifest her goblin familiars, who chased the pair with pitchforks to capture them. Ziggy and Silly ran through the castle, evading a guardian ghost, so Wierda gave chase personally up twisting staircases until they unwittingly ended up in the kitchen again. She hoisted them up in a net above a cauldron of boiling magic water that would never cool, and then dropped the pair in, but instead all the water splashed out, boiling Wierda's feet ankle-deep while Ziggy and Silly were apparently safe in the empty cauldron. Ziggy and Silly escaped the room, later unsure they had avoided the hot magic water.

Another fourth wall-breaking reference, often found in 1940s comedy coomics, with Silly saying to run faster "before the guy who draws this thinks of something else to happen to us!".
