History:

(Firearm#5 (fb) - BTS) - Wings grew on Ellen's back and she was told removing them may result in paralysis. She became ashamed of them and deeply depressed. Her only boyfriend rejected her when he saw the wings; this depressed her further, and she became lonely and suicidal. She found another ultra, Ramon, who had additional limbs and was shunned by society. Because she could hide her wings under clothing, she would run errands for him and get food; in return, he would listen to her problems. Eventually the Entity on the moon sent out waves that affected the minds of certain people, including Ramon, who kept encouraging her to fly to the moon. Although she knew her wings could not carry her, she went to the building ledge, considering it an easy chance to end it all.

Firearm#5) - Passing on the street below, ex-secret agent-turned-detective Alec Swan (Firearm) saw this and rushed up. Quickly assessing the situation, he knocked out Ramon and spoke Ellen down from the ledge, offering her friendship and acceptance, and shared his takeaway food and beer with her. Ellen warmed to him, each finding the other cautiously attractive, and they left the rooftop together.

(Firearm#12 (fb) - BTS) - Ellen's wings grew a little larger.

(Firearm#12) - Alec Swan kept contact with Ellen and they slept together in Alec Swan's messy apartment.

(Firearm#13) - Ellen took up an offer to be a showgirl dancer at a Las Vegas casino. At the airport, she tearfully declared her love, but Swan shied away from reciprocating (but privately thought himself a coward).

(Firearm#15) - A worried Ellen followed the news reports of serial ultra killer Rafferty, who had started a public duel with Alec Swan.

(Firearm#15) - After a fierce struggle defending the teen ultra group the Freex from Rafferty, an exhausted Alec Swan called Ellen during a break in the casino show and proposed to her. Surprised by his question, she happily agreed to marry him.

(Firearm#17) - Alec Swan traveled to Las Vegas and married Ellen in a small chapel before an Elvis Presley impersonator-minister. Later in the honeymoon suite, they talked about their feelings and reasons for marrying each other. Soon after, they watched TV news reports of a San Diego siege against Rafferty and Alec Swan immediately left to confront him, telling Ellen that in her, he now had a reason to want to live.

(Firearm#18 (fb) - BTS) - During the bloody battle against Rafferty, Alec Swan took a moment to realize how he'd changed and come to enjoy new small experiences, sharing personal lives with Ellen.

(Codename: Firearm#3/2 (fb) - BTS) - Alec Swan regaled Ellen about a wondrous curry he had in the UK, so she asked him to cook one. He went out for ingredients and got caught in a holdup.

(Codename: Firearm#5/2) - When he got home, Alec Swan found Ellen asleep on the couch, having missed news reports on the deadly holdup. He realized that his violent adventuring ways had to change for his wife's sake and maybe even future children.

Ellen Swan brought romance to a title that's probably best remembered as violent and gritty.

CLARIFICATIONS :
Ellen Swan has no known connections to:

Ramon

Ramon was Ellen's companion in loneliness prior to her meeting Alec Swan. Ramon and Ellen's deformities as ultras made the outcasts from society. Ellen could conceal her wings and so would run errands and get food for Ramon; in return he would listen to her problems. He lived near a building with wall art citing T.E. Lawrence and thought it was speaking to him personally. When the Entity on the moon sent out waves calling for ultras to come to its aid, it affected Ramon's mind and he persisted in encouraging Ellen to attempt flying up the moon using her small wings from atop a tall building at night. Passing on the street below, Alec Swan saw this and rushed up. Assessing the situation quickly, Swan assertively told Ramon to move away, but Ramon rabidly leapt to strike. Alec Swan easily swung his uncoordinated attack into a chimney, knocking Ramon unconscious.

Ramon's ultra form was four arms and three legs. He had only a rough brawling fighting technique and little coordination. Because he was an outcast, he had a disheveled appearance.
