History:
(Uncanny Tales I#37/2 (fb) - BTS) - At some point,
the human-looking Silvan family settled from Mars to Earth in Dundee,
Scotland (UK). Their rocket ship was disguised as the central tower of
an old castle. The Silvans were wealthy and expressed it through
attire, cars, travel and a private plane. But this also drew the
attention of many greedy men for the young-looking Sarah (although she
was not considered beautiful), yet all were too modest to ask her out
on a date.
(Uncanny Tales I#37/2) - The
fawning men over one woman caught the eye of inn customer Fred Royce.
The inn keeper explained that her family was considered the richest in
all of Scotland and this immediately raised the interest of golddigger
Royce and he sought a way to meet her. A chance lost glove led to an
introduction and dinner date. Royce used all his charm but she resisted
and left for Paris the next morning. Determined to win her, Royce
pursued and surprised her, but again she left secretly for London.
Royce's persistence had him find her again, yet Sarah repeated she
needed more time to think. Royce declared his love, feigning a
whirlwind romance, but again she quietly left, this time to Venice. He
followed her and made it across onto her gondola, stating he would go
anywhere with her. She confessed her love too and they were married the
next day in Dundee, although Royce greedily eyed the castle. Sarah's
father invited Royce to live with them with a gift of one million
acres, much to Royce's ecstatic surprise. Meanwhile, Sarah had the
gondola flown over as a wedding present. Soon after, the central tower
of the Silvan castle blasted off with Royce and the Silvans inside as
Sarah wanted to spend the honeymoon home on Mars. Royce found the
reality difficult to grasp. Sarah was delighted to share her life on
the large Martian Silvan estate in the gondola cruising a Martian
canal, but Royce
was glum because his wealth was on Mars.
Comments: Created by Carl Wessler & Dick Ayers.
Was Sarah Silvan really her name or her adopted
Earth name? Was she an Earth woman living on Mars or are Martians of her
race very similar to Earth women?
It's unrevealed just how long the Silvan family had
been on Earth. Generations? When did they sneak their rocket ship into
a castle on a hill?
It remains to be explained how so many different races/beings allegedly originated from Mars:

CLARIFICATIONS
:
Sarah Silvan has no known connections to:
Fred Royce was a bachelor keen for an easy life and getting rich quickly. While having a drink at an inn in Dundee, Scotland, he chanced upon the unremarkable-looking rich woman Sarah, who was receiving much attention from local men because of her wealth as a member of the Silvan family, owners of a nearby grand castle (but who were secretly from Mars). Determined to become rich through a quick marriage, he sought to charm Sarah on their first date, but she left the next morning. Royce followed and surprised her as she ran away from him across Europe, but he persisted and proposed marriage on a gondola in Venice. Sarah agreed and they married the next day in Dundee. He was surprised that Sarah had flown over the gondola as a wedding present, but ecstatic at her father's gift of a million acres. Sarah wanted to go home for their honeymoon and Royce agreed, unaware of her true origins. He initially struggled to comprehend that the castle's central tower was a rocket ship and had blasted off to Mars. Soon on Mars, the glum golddigger Royce ended up on a gondola ride on a Martian canal alongside his happy Martian wife in the grand Silvan Martian estate.
Given Royce was not aware who Sarah
Silvan was, he was very unlikely to be a local. That he didn't know of
the Silvan family, considered the wealthiest in Scotland, suggests he
was a traveler and not even Scottish.
